What a wonderful discovery. First time here. Very pleasant atmosphere. Fantastic T-Bone steak and Prime Rib. Service was fabulous. Experienced old fashion customer service with our waiter (great sense of humor). Well worth your time to check the Feedlot Steakhouse. We will be back.

This is a very nice steakhouse and one of the hidden gems in Shepherd, Montana. We stopped
into Shepherd while camping and the host suggested we try the steakhouse and also recommended another spot nearby. The restaurant is located out and the way from the beaten path, but it was well worth the trip. I had a New York strip steak and my wife had a filet mignon and both were outstanding. I did see some guys at a table next to us who ordered steak and a couple of them ordered slabs of ribs, which looked delectable. Although my steak was top-notch, I kicked myself for not ordering the slab of ribs as they looked delicious the prices are a little spendy but it is well worth the money as the food is outstanding. I definitely would go back to this restaurant as it had a log interior and was a beautiful place inside. This is a place where you would take your wife for a special occasion or friends you wanted to treat to outstanding food. The staff inside were very hospitable and friendly and it was worth it for us to find this place.

Normally in and out decent food, today coffee so burnt i dont understand, other people were even asking for something other to drink, ordered, 45 min later still no food, no info from wateress everyone in the place was eating pretty dead. I mean if I was her I defanatly would have explained why taking so long, and asked about the coffee, she knew it was burnt, you could smell it.. seriously how do you burn coffee that bad? She did not care we left.

Waitress and service were very good. We were checked on frequently and drinks were filled quickly. The building was very warm! But it’s also 100 degrees outside, so not entirely their fault. The food was a disappointment. My husband’s prime rib was a little over cooked and had okay flavor. My sirloin was way overcooked, twice, and very tough to eat and cut. It’s disappointing for a steakhouse.

Had a really great time with my parents here the night before I was leaving back to Kansas City. Food was great, servers took excellent care of us, and got every little detail of our order correct! I had not had the opportunity to eat here since I took my daughter’s mother here 18 years ago to celebrate her finding out we were (mostly she was) pregnant! Glad to see you guys are still in business and serving such great food! Oh, and the oysters (Rocky Mountain style) were just as tasty as I remembered!

The service was what I remember when I was much younger when waitresses knew how to keep track of who sat where and ordered what dish. She brought the next course when the first was done instead of putting it down all at once. It was so nice to see someone who knew how to do her job! Also we had a large number of guests and she cheerfully took good care of us. Thanks Feedlot for a great evening!

This was my second visit & I was pleased both times. Waitress was friendly & attentive. Steaks were flavorful & juicy. Bbq ribs were tender & sauce was delicious. Atmosphere is just what you’d expect for a Montana steak house – rustic, t-shirt & jeans kinda place. Even our 11 year old liked it & asked if we could go back again! Worth the drive out in the country to get there.
