Features Brasserie in Fort Irwin is an absolute gem. Steve is an incredibly talented chef with an amazing life story, and you can genuinely taste the passion and care he puts into every dish.

We originally came for breakfast, and it completely blew us away. I had the Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich, which was outstanding—perfectly balanced, rich, and deeply satisfying. The home fries deserve their own mention: incredibly unique, crispy, and packed with flavour. My wife ordered the French toast, and it was hands-down one of the best we’ve ever had. The flavours were exceptional, and every bite felt intentional and inspired.

The food was so good that we cancelled our dinner reservation elsewhere just to come back again the same day. For dinner, my wife had the homemade mushroom ravioli, which was absolutely incredible—delicate, flavourful, and expertly executed. I ordered the fish and chips, and it was perfection: beautifully battered, light, crispy, and delicious.

This is the kind of restaurant you remember long after you’ve left. Exceptional food, heart, and passion in every dish. If you’re anywhere near Fort Irwin, Features Brasserie is a must-visit.

A story of heroic rural Canadians!

I stopped for a coffee and when I went to leave I realised my car battery had died, and I needed to pick up friends at Winterdance – with no jumper cables around. Owner Steve helped coordinate a solution with the help of regular punters Carol and Scott; with Dave from Winterdance giving my friends a lift and jumping the car. They went out of their way to help, and while I waited I enjoyed a craft beer with the three of them. A vehicle headache turned in to a wonderful experience with good-hearted people!

While staying at a Cabinscapes cabin we stumbled upon this restaurant less than an hour before closing. The owner and chef happily invited us in and was lovely. He told us about many items on the menu and later we got into a conversation about his coffee beans (we are lovers of great coffee) and he was very happy to chat about this with us! It felt exactly how it looked, like a small town diner with big heart. If we were staying longer, we would’ve made the 40 min drive back for breakfast! Check this place out if you are nearby!

Steve , Alex and Lori are very friendly. My cottage is only a few minutes away and we’ve been there many times. Food is excellent, service is fantastic and I love the fact that they Source their supplies from Canadian suppliers. I’m very happy that they are in our community.

Stopped in for lunch during our Overlanding expedition. Lots of parking for all of our rigs. Great place with lots of different lunch choices. Everyone had a little bit of everything on the menu, but the favorite was the pickle soup. We even bought shirts….lol. Soooooooo good.

Great location for a resupply as the Marina is right across the street.

Stopped in for breakfast yesterday. One of the best breakfasts we have ever had with so many extras! Huge gourmet cups of coffee, tater tots were mouthwatering, cream and fruit compote on the french toast. Large slices of bacon cooked to perfection. You definitely won’t leave hungry and the food was reasonably priced. Owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. What a wonderful addition to the area!! Can’t wait to visit again. A gem of a place off the beaten path.

This was a super tasty find! We had the delicious lamb sliders and pickle soup (we even brought two extra servings for back at the cabin)! Great people and good prices. Will be back for sure.

What a hidden Gem ! The DLT was absolutely phenomenal. I’m not an easy pleaser but this place is my new go to when I’m in the county. I can’t wait to taste my way through the menu, it all looks and sounds amazing.

The owner is a great guy, easy to talk to and knowledgeable about food and his top shelf liquors ! Can’t wait for my next visit, highly recommend this to everyone ! It’s worth the drive I can guarantee.

The restaurant’s decor is stylish, yet homey at the same time. We had breakfast which was tasty and had various extra touches. But the price was reasonable and less than many other places. And…the friendliness of the owners was wonderful.
