This is our favorite restaurant in the Commonwealth. Every dish is spot-on for quality, taste and delightfulness. Last night, I had the ribeye steak special and mom had the baby iceberg wedge salad and we were still raving about them on the two-hour drive back to Boston afterwards.

We started the meal with the garlic and rosemary focaccia served with chive-filled butter, which was an excellent decision. Everything was delectable from start to finish. I also do not exaggerate when I say this place has the BEST tiramisu–even better than anything I can find in Boston’s North End. Heidi is the inimitable server who elevates the entire experience with her attentiveness, sweetness and grace.

The ambiance is warm and beautifully curated. Real candles on the tables, holiday decor, and a frosted Christmas tree and pine cones line the booth seating.

This is a perfect seaside spot for date night, family get-together, solo night at the bar with a book, or just because it’s Tuesday. A+, brava y muchas gracias to the front and back of the house who work hard to deliver a class experience that will make this place unforgettable.

We stopped into feather & wedge for a quick bite to eat and had a lovely time. The focaccia bread is a must!!! So perfectly crisp and the butter on the side was perfection. The wedge salad & sweet potatoes also had great flavor too. Would definitely come back!

First time at Feather and Wedge.

Wow…start to finish – excellent!

Great vibe from the time we entered. Packed house but table was ready at time of reservation. Love the table rows and amazing view…we got lucky with a near window table. Offered water and drinks straight away. Huge shout out to our server, Heidi (and the support staff)…service was outstanding!

Started out with martinis. Wife loved the cider and spice, mine was up with a twist extra dry. Of course with martinis…must have the beets and olives for a perfect pairing and I mean perfect. We threw in some oysters (Rockport, right?) and an autumn wedge. The wedge was one of best I’ve had in a while…earthy, fall flavor with a creamy dill dressing to die for…

Entrees were tenderloin with lobster top and bolognese. Wagyu tenderloin was perfectly MR and adding the poached lobster is a no brainer. This was a truly great surf/turf! So, this next part is tricky because I have had some amazing bolognese in North End, Little Italy, etc. Typically I would consider bolognese in an Italian reataurant but I must have had a vision and thank you for that. Because I honestly think this is the best bolognese I have ever had…the flavors were perfection…unbelievable.

Didn’t think it could go higher but I love chocolate and who doesn’t love mousse. So there ya go…rich, creamy, dark chocolate mousse was so light and delicious.

One of the best overall service, food, and atmosphere meals I have had in a while.

Should be 6 stars…wow!

Made a reservation for dinner before a show.
We decided to do some apps and not do an entree . The food was amazing, it was like being on a tasting tour. The whipped ricotta, roasted carrots, prawns and focaccia are all a must. The wedge salad is also an excellent choice. The drink list was very nice as was the wine list.
Your taste buds will thank you!!!
Definitely would come back and I highly recommend recommend.

I’ve been wanting to go to Feather and Wedge for a long while – and finally went there for dinner last night by myself. I enjoyed the atmosphere while I drank an ice cold IPA. It was a very good beginning. I ordered a ribeye, creamy mash potatoes, and broccoli rabe for dinner. I asked for my ribeye to be cooked medium, but it was cooked medium rare; no big deal. What was a big deal to me was that the restaurant has the ribeye on the menu for $62. For $62, I was expecting an excellent steak; however, it was very mediocre. The mashed potatoes were excellent, but I didn’t eat any of the broccoli rabe because I thought it was terrible.

The restaurant was featuring wines from a vineyard in Chile and the wine suggested for my ribeye was excellent steak. For dessert I ordered some kind of cake with caramel sauce and a scoop of ice cream. While the cake and sauce were good, the scoop of ice cream was the smallest scoop of ice cream I have ever seen.

To top it all off, the people at the table right next to me apparently knew someone in the kitchen (my guess was the chef). Well the chef came to the people at this table 3 ty – each time plopping his hefty self on the bench seat just a few feet from me – almost lifting me off my seat. Okay, I’m embellishing a bit here, but it was very disruptive and disappointing, nonetheless.

Hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten! Mine and my partner’s anniversary is in February, a risky time to make plans in New England. When we decided on a weekend trip to Rockport to celebrate, we were worried about finding a decent restaurant that was open during the winter season. Feather and Wedge saved the day by being open, having reservations when we were looking for, and turning out to have absolutely phenomenal food and service! The garlic and rosemary focaccia changed my life to be honest. For entrees, we both went with specials: the catch of the day, sole (gotta love year round seafood!), with a side of deliciously prepared sweet potatoes, and a short rib ragu dish that was nothing short of comfort in a bowl (shoutout to our server for that apt description). We topped the night off with a delicious dark chocolate mousse with brown sugar cookie butter crumble–divine!! The drinks were unique and yummy, too. Our server was lovely, very knowledgeable about the menu, made great pairing suggestions, and provided incredible, attentive but not over-the-top, service. We can’t wait to come back and try the summer menu!

Banger of a dining experience with beautifully crafted and composed dishes designed to taste great first and look so good too. I had the cornmeal coated sole filets that were the sweetest tender juicy little bites of deliciousness. Service was excellently paced, the dishes generous, and the atmosphere cozy and vibrant. The server called us ‘my lovelies’ a few too many times for my taste but we felt like the restaurant was dialing it up a little extra on Valentine’s weekend which is totally reasonable. Extremely enjoyable experience all around!

I loved feather and wedge me and my fiancé would go every week up until it was under new ownership. We have been a few times and have not been impressed with the changes. We went again tonight drinks were great, the app was good, dinner was ok. The A la carte menu had a pork chop ($29), mashed potatoes ($9) and broccoli rabe ($12) which comes to $50 for a salty piece of pork. My fiancé got the sole it was basically fish sticks on a plate. It’s a great place for a drink and an app, we love the staff, however there seems to be a consistent disconnect between the quality of food and the prices. If we’re going to pay top dollar prices, the entrees should be top quality.

Came here twice on a visit to Rockport and both times were wonderful. You know you’re in the right spot when all the locals show up at the end of the day to gather – the atmosphere was fun and inviting. Folks said the restaurant had new management and the food was consistently delicious. The lead bartender from Argentina had curated a thoughtful wine menu with some of my favorite Cabernet Franc from Mendoza. I tried the oysters and mussels- both were spectacular. You’ll probably need extra bread to soak up all the broth in the mussels. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Rockport – I’ll be back!

Feather & Wedge in Rockport is easily one of the best spots on the North Shore for a seafood-focused date night. The new owner was incredibly accommodating and checked in on us multiple times to make sure everything was perfect, which says a lot about the level of care they put into the experience.

Our waitress, Heidi, was fantastic—super friendly and made some amazing recommendations that made the night even better. We started with oysters, prosciutto, and the prawn, which was highly recommended and absolutely worth it. Cocktails were solid, and once the food started landing, we switched to wine. Great call.

The salads were fresh and well-balanced, and the standout of the night was the pea soup with butter-poached lobster and bacon. That dish alone was unforgettable.

For entrees, we had the bolognese, halibut, mussels, and mushroom risotto with added lobster. Every plate was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Eating that kind of seafood just steps from the water made it even better.

The whole place gives off that perfect New England summer energy, but I’d come back any time of year. If you’re thinking about dinner plans, call your babysitter and book a table. You won’t regret it.
