I stopped at the Vincennes, Indiana Fazoli’s this afternoon on my way home because my husband was craving pasta. I was not. I honestly hadn’t been in years, but I remembered the breadsticks being dangerously good, so I figured why not.
When I walked in, the dining room was completely empty except for one recently vacated table and a self order kiosk. Before I could even figure out the kiosk situation, a very kind young man greeted me, took my order personally, and struck up a genuinely enjoyable conversation while I waited. The food came out impressively fast.
I ordered a salad and my husband got hot pasta. I’ll admit, I was skeptical when everything went into the same bag. Cold salad plus hot pasta plus a 40 minute drive home usually equals disappointment. But whoever packed that bag knew exactly what they were doing. The cold items were placed on the bottom with a heat barrier separating them from the hot food.
When I got home, I fully expected to find something wrong with the salad. I was ready to say “Well, that’s what you get.” Instead, it was fresh, crisp, and honestly better than I remember Fazoli’s salads ever being. The breadsticks were still warm. Everything tasted great.
Hands down, this was one of the best Fazoli’s experiences I’ve ever had. Great service, thoughtful packaging, and food that held up beautifully even after a long drive. I went in neutral and left impressed.

We ate here on Friday Dec 19, Food was good, night manager and other woman in the kitchen need retrained or replaced, yelling at employees and berating them for the entire restaurant to hear is less than welcoming. The manager or whom we assumed to be the manager had hollered for the employee “Andrew” who had brought out some breadsticks for us. She in doing so she continued speak loudly about her reason for yelling at him and renting about him having other things he needs to be doing. Andrew was friendly, responsive and checked our needs as he brought items to the table and other tables. We enjoyed the food and service minus the manager, thus the lower rating for atmosphere.

Fast food Italian. It seems to be a nation wide issue with Fazolis, the pasta is always over cooked. Other than that the food was good. The garlic shrimp stuffed shells were seasoned well and hit the spot.
