The atmosphere was great with the old photos on the wall . The food tasted delicious. I just felt really disappointed in the service. This was my family’s first time going here and I felt I had to watch other people getting served their drinks on a consistant basis while my family we had to wait . Everything from the appetizer to the desert took extra long while we watched other people in the restaurant getting served. Overall we only received two drinks our entire meal and Overall due to the service we spent two full hours in the restaurant. We felt saddened by this experience. I feel when you go out to dinner you want to be treated with quality and the service is supposed to be great .

Awesome find! This place is great. They have multiple days of specials and it is hard to not take advantage of them. Wednesday is the 49.95 dinner for 2. Any entree you want with a bottle of wine…cannot go wrong! Food was very good. Had the veal parm and salmon. Both were very tasty. The bar is quite nice with comfortable seating and a lot of space. Will definitely be back!

Fay’s is one of my favorite restaurant The staff and food has alwavs been good.l was disappointed when I ordered 2 chicken parmigiana sandwiches.l have ordered the chicken parmigiana in the past and it has always been very good.This time both sandwiches was not the quality that Fay’s is known for.The chicken was cut in little pieces dry, very little sauce, barely toasted.lt is important has a restaurant to be consistent with the quality of your food even if you maybe short staff or very busy in the kitchen because customers will remember the last meal they had there.I will return for another chance to experience the quality and service I have enjoyed in the past.

I truly love and support this spot—the warm vibe, great drinks, friendly staff, and killer service keep me coming back regularly. When the right chef is on, the food is outstanding and easily 5-star worthy. But on nights with a different chef, it can feel inconsistent—seasoning off, a bit safe, or just not quite hitting the same highs. Still better than most places, but the difference is noticeable. Thursday would be one of the off days so i tend to stay away.

This has become one of our favorite local places all year long. But I am compelled to write tonight about the chicken pot pie. If you are sad, cold, hungry, stressed, exhausted, or just feeling nostalgic, you should go order this. Soon. It’s on special this month – February, 2026. Apparently it is a beloved family recipe of one of Fay’s cooks. This is not your standard 2-crust mini pot pie….. Ths is a soup bowl of hot creamed chicken, peas (remarkably not overcooked), carrots, onions, and potatoes topped with a humongous square of fluffy pastry. This pot pie will cure any malady. I think I’ll dream about it.

We make it up to New Bedford for my wife’s NBHS 10 year reunions and one must eat at destination is Fay’s. I look forward to enjoying the Linguica Pizza and I’m satisfied each time. It’s too bad y’all are too far from NOLA to consider delivery! (Photo from our 2013 trip-looking at it makes me want to order a linguica pizza so much!)

Great place to get food and great service. Whether hosting a party or going out alone/ with friends it’s a great little spot to get some good seafood. The clam chowder is great here and the seafood pastas are always cooked perfectly.
