Perfect place to go alone for lunch. Was sat right away. Waitress was super nice. I had the side salad, a cup of soup and the turkey bacon club. The food is super flavorful while keeping it simple. Had to finish it all off with a slice of chocolate cake. Super rich and dense cake. The atmosphere was chill with retro decor. Feels like an old malt shop. The price is more than reasonable (around 25 dollars). Tried my luck at the claw machine on the way out and lost. Important to note that they are cash only and close at 2.

First time in Carlisle and decided to visit this place for breakfast, A bit small but plenty of seating available. Can get a bit crowded depending on where you sit. Also, can be a hassle finding a place to park. Lots of antique things to see around the establishment. Friendly staff and great service, had the breakfast special for $9.99 , comes with 2 eggs your way, bacon, toast, pancakes and a coffee or tea. Will be coming back if in the area again.

Old school diner on an older city block. Prices are very good. Food and service was very good. Unfortunately street parking and cash only. Yes, Lou was there.

We were in town for the 2025 spring car show. As vendors it is optimal to get to the fair ground as early as possible in order to beat the crowd. Thank God for Fay’s. They start serving at 6am, but you can get there at 5:30ish and have a cup of Joe. The breakfast was very affordable and quite hearty. Over the course of the week I tried: The chipped beef, the sausage biscuits + gravy, the blueberry buckwheat pancakes, banana pancakes, hash, home fries and finally the eggs Benny. Everything was superb and set up the day for success. I would like to thank the staff for treating us so kindly from Tuesday morning to Saturday morning.

It is important to keep in mind that Fay’s is a cash only business.

If you’re looking back in time for an old school atmosphere, old school prices, AND quality food, look no further. Fay’s is an excellent choice. We held a 2 person business meeting and could talk freely. We’re making Fay’s our place to conduct breakfast business!!

If you ever find yourself in Carlisle, PA this is a must stop. Food was 10/10! Everything we got was so delicious. You can’t go wrong with anything you chose! We got a western omelette, corn beef hash, Mexican skillet, and of course a buttermilk pancake. They made us feel like we were right at home.

Big breakfast family here, we often go to places around central pa for breakfast to try them out. Last week we came here for the first time and it was awesome but I waited to write this until we came back again and it was perfect again. I’m very much a diva when it comes to omelettes but these were perfect! They come out huge and done to perfection with lots of mixing. Wife got a skillet and tried a waffle and loved them both. Service was great both times. We will be coming here for years to come, highly recommend!!

We enjoyed our stop here. We don’t live in the area and saw this place was highly rated. I really loved the decor, which was red, white and black and lots of Coca-Cola memorabilia. The waitresses were very pleasant and friendly. The food choices were good on the menu and they had breakfast after noon, which is always a big plus for me. The reason I didn’t go with five stars was that I felt it was a little dirtier than I like to see in a food establishment. Also, my baked oatmeal was very dry and unappealing. I got it with fruit in it and the fruit was almost non existent and dried up as well. My husband was unhappy that there were upcharges for small things, such as rye toast.

All in all, we’re glad we stopped simply because it seems to be a mainstay of the town of Carlisle and it was kind of a blast from the past, which is always nice.

Fay’s is a Carlisle classic with the sounds, smells, and good service of a hometown diner. The muffins are to die for — they split them open and toast the cut sides on the griddle. I was really disappointed when I was in a couple weeks ago to find that they’re using an omelet maker for the omelets now. Those automatic omelet makers create a spongy egg dish with a very different texture than a skillet-made omelet.
