We ate here tonight and it did NOT disappoint AT ALL! My husband had the meatloaf with the cabbage. He said they were both EXCELLENT! I had the chicken Alfredo and it was the best I have ever had! Of course we had to get the bread pudding to go! Just here for the week. Live in southeast Texas close to the La border, so we like well seasoned food. This is it! Ask for Mike when you go in and tell him his patrons from Texas recommended his place!

The homemade sauce. Is actually tomato gravy. In your ettoufee , your shrimp & n grits, no rue just a tomato sauce in gravy. The grits were solidified in a cake like puck under the gravy.

Crab cakes were similar to salmon patties. Very thin. Menu’s were paper and had greasy finger prints. This place used to be so good. I was so disappointed
Posting in hope quality will go back up. Loved FayRay’s..

We had dinner here on Monday evening. I had a goat cheese salad, and my husband had some type of chicken with étouffée I think… he said the flavor was good, but it was way too runny, lots of liquid. The goat cheese salad was great. We enjoyed two cocktails and our server was great. Forgot her name but a female with braids and glasses. A large party came in as we were about to be finished, and it seemed to be overwhelming the staff. Also, I would say they need to choose a decorating style and stick with it. They have a Cajun/Louisiana flare, then some random paintings of flowers, then a sports jersey… kind of all over the place.. to be honest I still don’t know what genre of restaurant I was in.. The food was pretty good.

I wasn’t sure what to expect here. Good reviews. I thought it may have a Louisiana flare since I’d seen a review of crawfish etouffee. This must’ve been on their dinner menu, because their lunch menu was very bland typical American dishes. I ordered the hamburger with cheddar cheese and fries. It was obviously hand pattied. A little salty, but overall a good burger. Not a bad stop in El Dorado.

Utterly horrible. Ordered an over-priced ribeye, mash potatoes, brussel sprouts and salad. Thank God for the salad because the poor excuse for a steak and the instant potatoes aren’t passing muster. This was over $60. SMH

I had the blackened catfish, with cheese grits and crawfish ettoufe. With a house salad. Everything was really good. Service was good and the atmosphere was pretty good. Right on the Square in the middle of town.

The roasted red pepper soup is delicious! I had the eggplant parmesan and it was good. Friendly service and good drink options.

This picture is of my outback steak. An actual medium rare steak. I paid half for this steak than my Fayrays steak. This place advertises itself as more fancy than it is. My review on this place would be higher if everything on the menu was about $15 cheaper. I got a $38 steak and most of it was cooked overdone & when I asked for a new one, the chef brought it out and argued with me that the middle was done as I wanted so I should be happy with it. My husband’s steak was way overdone but he was too nice to return it. Very disappointed with the customer service & the fact that we way over-paid for poor steaks.
