The sign says Portuguese-Mexican restaurant but to be honest it is more Portuguese than Mexican, it is an offense that they put Mexican when the Mexican food they prepare is not good at all (on certain occasions like me the food comes raw, like chicken). Needless to say, I won’t be back here and if many people plan to come, consider it.

Cash only. Cheap Cocktails; for example, the Caipirinha is about $7, but it is potent. The alcohol is definitely not watered down. They serve food here that most other restaurants on Long Island don’t. For example, Giant Shrimp, Grilled Sardines, Cozido (Portuguese Stew made with blood sausage, pork belly, pigs ears, cabbage, potatoes, carrots and more). Spanish, Portuguese and English are primarily spoken.

The chicken had a good flavor it just dont seem right to charge me for a full chicken and only serve me half of it. a whole chicken means i need two legs two tights two breast because its a WHOLE CHICKEN im paying for. No i pay for a whole chicken and recieved a little more than half only one breast oh btw they made sure all the bone part of the chicken was there. Also there “special” sauce for the chicken its not included which its and extra $4 for about 2 ounces of sauce.

They charged me .92 cents for several slices of lemon that I put in my water glass and squeezed on some boiled potatoes. Never before has any restaurant charged me for that. They are a cash only restaurant also. The food is good though. I come here when I want some authentic Portuguese or Mexican food.

Food was not bad but extremely disappointing to have to go next door to an ATM because the owner doesn’t have the courtesy of offering CC payment. Only those looking to hide their earnings from the irs do cash only. Definitely will never be back

Place was crowded with regulars having a good time at their favorite restaurant… Got whole chicken, fries and grilled cactus to go.. Everything was great and the fries made it home in great shape

Food was good but not the best. Ordered fried snapper that had a strong fresh fish odor, not my cup of tea. Chicken with rice was a better hit. Atmosphere is a little drab with service people that serve you as they eat themselves.
