it actually breaks my heart to leave this review. i considered myself a regular here, however after this last order i will not be coming back. i spend $33 in total for two tacos, a burrito and a torta with extra meat. the portion sizes are ABYSMAL now. my torta with extra meat that i spent almost $15 on, has a disrespectful amount of meat. i feel like i actually got screwed out of money. there is no reason a place should be charging this much for so little. this place has changed unfortunately, not for the better. my the torta itself has brown avocado, the bread was not fresh and chewy, the meat itself was lacking in flavor. even the meat in my tacos tasted old and chewy. so unfortunate because this place use to be good. i can’t recommend anyone spending their money here until they change

It’s conveniently located near the Franklin library in a Strip mall. it’s not just food which is excellent also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. The parking is easy and plentiful. The restaurant was clean and they also have a nice seating area. The service was fast and efficient
It is a Southwest Mex street Tacos style place. The food was good and solid hot and delicious. I have had the Carne asada and Al pastor fillings tacos. They also have a nice salsa area with seven or eight different salsas
I received a warm plate of chips, all very fresh and plentiful with a great salsa choices. They have a great selection of burritos and tortas. There guacamole is homemade.
They have juice Mexican pop and coke products… I’ve been several times and I’m sure I’ll go several more It’s a great place for families with kids portions and great prices.
It’s one of my favorite Tex-Mex Street Taco style in the Des Moines area.

Street tacos because of their blended simple flavors are in full vogue at Faustino’s Taqueria. The variety of marinated meats with a punch of different spices and sauces offers a wagon train of choices. The rice and beans although simple are authentically Mexico. The prices and decor paints an image of any street corner in downtown San Antonio with a very customer friendly staff willing to serve you up a flavorful dish of your choice. The decor may not rock your world but the simple flavors, and bare knuckle prices should $. Go and at least try the fun and playful entrees that are order up single dishes in a small nondescript atmosphere.

Yum! I was excited to finally try this place and it didn’t disappoint. The space is on the smaller side, but the service was friendly. Really tasty food. We ordered mole de pollo, a few different tacos, and the chilaquiles torta. It was plenty of food for two people, probably even three or four, but I wanted to try lots of different things. I appreciated they had different salsas and if you eat there they provide chips. I want to come back and try the soups for sure.

OMG!!! I just had this delivered for lunch, never been to this place before, and when I say RUN….do yourself a favor!! I had a simple ground beef burrito, and it is hands down one of the BEST burritos I have ever had! It’s a good portion, and the flavor is amazing. I strongly recommend getting extra limes!! I can’t wait to try more things from this place! I will be back for sure!!!! Great Job Faustinos!!

came in on a thursday night, only one other person in the restaurant (besides the workers of course) who took their food to-go. got a burrito with ground beef and side of chips and queso.
i had the best burrito i’ve had in ages. i can’t stop thinking about it and will probably be back soon for another one. ive never seen a burrito layered so perfectly, which makes it taste 10 times better. i love how they cut it in half too, it made it so much easier to eat. the most perfect burrito ever.
queso is very good, but they don’t give you a ton of chips, but since the food comes out fast and is very filling, it evens out.
(photo with the chips had a few chips already gone)

Chips and Salsa – chips were great, could’ve used a little salt. Salsa was SO good. Fresh, with great flavor.
Salsa Verde was also delicious and fresh.
Avocado Salsa was underwhelming, had a hint of avocado to it.
Asada Tacos – delicious. Fresh ingredients and steak cooked perfectly. The shells were a little soft, almost undercooked feeling.
Overall, great experience will definitely be back.
