Great place!! After a long day of driving we wanted a place to grab a brew and a few bites and not fast food. Jazzie was a lot of fun, she was tending bar and enjoyed her company. The food….. awesome, southern and juicy. I thoroughly enjoyed the fried green tomatoes and grits. I’m from the South, I loved their grits and the Fried Green Tomatoes were spot on delicious. My husband loved the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Delicious place, I highly recommend it.

Restaurant looks very good, server was very nice and friendly, unfortunately we had to wait about 15 min to get noticed and after we’d made an order we waited another 10 min. just for drinks. My husband ordered 6 oz steak with baked beans. Server came another time to assure about his order and then he got 10 oz steak (more expensive) with broccoli. He is a solf hearted guy so he didn’t complain and just payed for it. Meal was prepared the way we wanted, taste was average. If I have a chance I probably won’t go to this restaurant again due to long waiting for everything. Draft beer was very good.

FATZ, cool joint & good food. We did find a single bug crawling on the wall but once we squished it – it was fine . Calabash chicken, shrimp, fish & ribs were all tasty! Our waitress was practically running the floor & to-go orders so service was slow but to no fault of hers whatsoever.

I hate to be this person, but when I’m directly told I’m wrong after I worked at the restaurant years ago that this is a 12-oz Chopped Steak with onions, mushrooms, and au jus sauce, I take it as an insult. This is a burger patty. I swear I did not touch anything on this plate, I added the fork to scale it. I’m not even picky, I’m flat out insulted and then to be told I’m the one who is wrong. Also the order did not receive the sides requested and due to the sides requested being an up-charge, it was easier for management to enter the other meal ordered as double fries. The reason advised, she didn’t know what the instructions meant so instead of confirming the order she doubled the fries instead of calling to clarify the order. I worked at Fatz and we had a heck of a lot more pride in the food and customer satisfaction than this. The picture is what is advertised, and this is what I got. Also the World Famous Calabash Chicken Tenders is what is displayed as well if you’re able to see past the multi-day oil it was fried in…

I haven’t been here since long before Covid. I remembered the food and thought we would go here. The host took a little while, though the place wasn’t busy. The waitress was friendly. The food was not as good as I remembered it being. The broccoli casserole must have been old or had been sitting a but. It was gummy. The sweet potato soufflé was ok. The rice was a little pastey but tasted good. The salmon was good. My grand baby ate the fries but not the cheeseburger. It was not a great meal, but I might consider another visit.

When we entered we were greeted with a smile and a welcome. They brought us complimentary Calabash Chicken and dip due to being first timers. Our server was incredible.
The salad and biscuits with cinnamon butter were delicious. My husband ordered filet mignon salad. My sister ordered top sirloin with a baked potato. I ordered peal and eat shrimp.
My husband’s steak was tough and well done rather than medium well. My sister said her steak was fine.
After they were served I was told that they were out of peal and eat shrimp but could bring me grilled shrimp. They were tasty, just not what I originally ordered.

This restaurant and location has been open for years. I feel this restaurant isn’t as good as it once was but still worth a visit.

I’ve been coming here during my travels for several years. It used to be a nice place with a lively happy hour. Each time I come it seems to go a little more down hill. Times are tough. Fatz Cafe has a lot of potential but I don’t know if they can survive much longer. I ordered a double stack burger that was tasty but a little on the small side. See photo.. I guess the top patty fell apart. No big deal. However, The tables seems sticky and the carpeting especially in the back is very worn and dirty. Bathroom could also use some attention. On the plus side. Waiter was nice.

We were driving on I 95 and decided to stop for lunch! It was a nice restaurant with great food! Our server was nice and attentive! The manager came over and gave us coupons for a free kids meal, which I thought was very nice! Our food was delicious and I definitely would eat here again!
