Amazing food every time. I have yet to dine in but every time I order online I get my food piping hot and always correct. The soups are delicious and my fav is the garlic eggplant. They have some of the best fried rice also. I ask for extra spice and they don’t shy from the heat. One of the best Chinese in Tucson. I have had the salty and spicy tofu but I believe it would be better in store. I love their eggrolls as well.

Everything we ordered was delicious. I will say if you’re getting the oil noodles and are a big fan of protein add some. The sesame chicken had a great flavor I just wished the chicken to breading ratio was better. We also got the beef lo mein (not pictured) which was really good. I will definitely be coming back for more.

Good food, service and clean. We ordered beef chopsuey and the flavor was very good and with plenty of sauce. We also ordered the salty chicken; the waitress let us know that it was a dry plate. Indeed it was dry; the chicken was delicious but pretty spicy as it has plenty of dry chilies and jalapeño peppers. We also ordered an egg drop soup that was pretty decent. Overall, good place to eat.

Went to this restaurant 3 times. We will definitely go more often if it is not that far. The price is very reasonable with big servings. Best 麻辣 (hot ‘mah-lah’) dishes we ever had in Tucson. There might be other competitive places, but probably more expensive. We tried various hot dishes, satisfied with all. This time, we tried the ma po tofu and shredded pork with garlic sauce Just the right amount of ma for the ma po tofu

Food is amazing. So much better than some of the popular restaurants. We always ordered the Fish with pickled vegetables, the Vegetable Trio, Chicken Wings, Yang Chao Fried Rice and the Mongolian beef. You can adjust the level of spices. Handmade noodles are great too.

3.5 but pretty sure when I come back — and I will– it’ll be higher.

Pros: clearly a local mom and pop which is what makes tucson great. Broad menu. Everything looked great except what I ordered… more on that later. Super friendly server. Crowded so assuming they’re generally reliable. Great prices.

Cons: service was a little slow, only one server with a packed house and takeout orders… who did great given the situation but service was a little slow.

I also ordered the spicy salty fried chicken which just turned out to be small white meat chicken pieces fried and sitting in wonton. Was expecting actual fried chicken maybe should have asked? But the breading was just okay and it really needed a sauce (or dip?) of some sort. But next time I’ll do something more saucy and pretty sure I’ll be thrilled.

Def check them out just don’t get the spicy salty chicken unless you just like dry chicken bits.

I couldn’t write a review fast enough. Really good food. Everything we ordered was great. Lots of flavor but very well balanced. So excited to find really good Chinese food. Highly recommend the Xiang Splashing Noodles and the fish in black bean sauce. The staff was very nice. We will definitely be back!

Having lived in Asia for three years and living in SF now, I did not plan to try an Asian restaurant in Tucson but a store clerk I met at Mercado recommended this place so I gave it a try- My friends and I loved every dish we got here. Definitely get a noodle dish especially Xian Oil noodle which was fantastic! My friend’s favorite was their eggplant dish. Not only food was amazing here but also the owner was so kind and wonderful.

We had some great food and great service here today and will be back again. The eggplant and garlic was phenomenal! The salty and spicy chicken wings were some of the best I’ve had. Ma po tofu is one of my favorite Chinese dishes but this one had a strange flavor (metallic to me) to it on the back end, may have been MSG. I’ve tasted it before at another Chinese restaurant in Tucson eating ma po tofu as well but only two places so far. Would love to know what that ‘taste’ is. I won’t have the ma po tofu again but everything else was amazing!

I’ve been coming to Tucson about once a year for the past few years and I love the food scene here—so many great places to eat. Fatman is one of the few that I’ll always revisit whenever I’m in town. The food is just incredible. Cumin lamb and Xian oil splashing noodle are favorites. Can’t wait to come back!
