With over 40 years of experience in the food & beverage industry, including two culinary degrees, Brady & Ashley Hibner decided to put their skills to the test and go into business for themselves doing what they have always had the passion of doing. In January of 2018, they opened the doors to Fat Tuesday Sandwich Shop & Bakery and haven’t looked back since. Their goal is to prepare as much of the menu from scratch, only using the highest quality ingredients, while providing top notch customer service inside of our Louisiana/Mardi Gras Theme sandwich shop.

I stopped in this small hole in the wall restaurant after seeing the reviews on my last trip to Shreveport. The reviews weren’t wrong. The food was amazing. It was so good that I actually bought a second sandwich to take home to my kids but mine was so good I forgot to get a picture of it too. They even put the sauces in separate containers so the bread didn’t get soggy and the food wash still fresh by the time I got it home an hour away. I will certainly stop here again on future trips to Shreveport.

I have been coming to fat Tuesdays for 8 years now and i have NEVER had a bad experience at this place! The food is always delicious and very beautifully prepared. They have the best potato salad ive ever had and the staff is always so friendly and accommodating.
Make no mistake, this is the absolute best sandwich shop in this area.

I was working in the area and decided to try this little gem and I wasn’t disappointed.
It was quite packed on my lunch break but the wait for my food wasn’t long. Seating is limited and it seemed many were getting to go orders.
I ordered the special which was the Cajun Chicken Pasta and it was fantastic. It came with garlic bread and a choice of soup or a salad. I chose the soup.
I had to try the Peach Cobbler Cheesecake and loved it.
I would definitely go back. I do need to try a sandwich right!?!

Its kind of a hole in the wall as seating is tight and always packed. But thats a testament to how GREAT the food is! They have a drive thru window which is convenient if you want to call your order in ahead. Highly recommend and we go there a couple times a month.

I found a fantastic place for a sandwich or burger! I visited the shop for the first time after receiving a recommendation, and I was not disappointed. I ordered the French Big Dipper, and it was a great sandwich. The dip that accompanied it was a wonderful addition.

Went for lunch around 1140ish and they were slammed. Cranked quite a few sandwiches and salads out with only a small wait. The French Dip sandwich was tasty – the bread dunked in the sauce especially – but even with all the cheese and dunking it, the meat was too dry. Overall really good flavor, I would just request half the cheese and hope for a better scoop of meat. The Cajun Potato Salad was flavorful too, but the baby food consistency is not for me. I’d pass considering it’s an upcharge. They offer a large variety of cheesecake. The toffee slice was good but not as creamy and decadent as I was hoping for. My friend ordered their Cajun sandwich and was pleased with the spice.
On a separate note…disappointed they only honor the police/military discount if you specifically ask – even if you’re standing in uniform. And when I did ask, the cashier made it seem like a chore. Weird attitude for a restaurant that has a discount.

This is the best little sandwich shop! I’ve had their French Dip and the Club and it’s so good. Their red beans and rice are unbeatable but they don’t always have it so you gotta keep an eye out. This place is worth a visit!

I enjoyed the Deli Supreme Poyboy. Wow what sandwich!! Took two hands to start. The red beans and rice were extremely tasty. The ladies were great and when you walk in they were quick to suggest something from the menu and the days special.
