Fat Shack Washington is your go to late night spot for big flavor and zero judgment. We serve stacked burgers, loaded fat sandwiches, crispy wings, deep fried everything, and milkshakes that actually taste like milkshakes.
We are built for midnight cravings, post game hunger, and “I probably shouldn’t but I will” decisions. The flattop stays hot, the portions stay generous, and the vibe is casual, loud, and unapologetically fun.
Not fast food. Not fine dining. Just really good food that hits when you need it most.
If you know, you know. If you don’t, pull up.
Counter-serve space featuring mozzarella stick-stuffed sandwiches, wings & deep-fried desserts.

Nice little chill spot to grab some late night grub. Nice little selection of local craft brews on tap. Food was delicious as well, one gripe: the fries were cold as of they were sitting over the hot oil in the fryer basket. Burger on the other hand was piping hot and super juicy and delicious! Got the original which included two slabs of meat topped with cheese and of course all the fixings. I’d come visit again!

I recently tried the lunch special at Fat Shack, and I was impressed with the combo value The burger was juicy and flavorful, and the fries were crispy and delicious. The service was exactly what you would expect – friendly and efficient. For the price, you get a really decent lunch, making it a fantastic value. I’d definitely recommend Fat Shack for a satisfying and affordable lunch.

We came in really late from the airport and were just looking for somewhere to grab a bite around midnight—so glad we stumbled across this place! The burgers and fries totally hit the spot. The mozzarella sticks were just okay, nothing special, but still decent. The wings were good if you’re into a more vinegar-based sauce tangy and flavorful, just not my personal favorite style. Overall, great late-night find!

Not sure if they were short-staffed, but had a truly lousy experience. No staff in sight when we arrived, but were able to place our food order on the self-service kiosk. Ordering a beer is a whole other process (why????), and we stood around for 5-7 minutes before someone came out of back to help. The place was full, and just about everyone was waiting for their food. I ordered after my buddy, but got my food first. We waited another 5 minutes, and then learned that they’d lost his order. Seemed like it was two guys trying to run the place. Scarred – not coming back. P.S. the fries were really good.
UPDATE: Wendy, I tried to reach out with some more details, but the email you provided is not valid.

This is one of my favorite places in Seattle. This is usually the first place that I send someone who is new to Seattle. Everything about FatShack closely represents the soul of this beautiful city. The small restaurant with the atmosphere of a planet far larger than itself. The service is not fast, but rather On Time. The employees remind you of that awkward best friend that you had in middle school, and still think about often. The menu is art. The Fat Sandwiches are all canvases of colors that don’t belong together so if I was to explain the picture to you, you wouldn’t get it. You have to just see it for yourself and trust that Yes, all of this Can be good on one sandwich. ✌️

Today I was waiting for a friend of miine who’s in the courthouse signing some papers and I was driving around just to find a place to park I parked right in front “Fat Shack”. Right now it’s about 1130 A.m. and you can see they are ramping up for the lunch hour. But that didn’t stop them from being friendly, providing excellent service and smiling while doing it, making great tasting food. Also, I didn’t notice that there was sauce options for the desserts and I told him that I will run out to my car and see if I can scrounge up some change to get those sauces because I didn’t want to use my debit card and have them pay fees to Visa for such a small charge amount. He told me “don’t worry about it” and he gave them to me as a Gesture of Goodwill. Because of his kindness and how they presented themselves, I will definitely be coming back and with more than just myself. I will be letting my friends know about this place. Thanks guys. I really appreciate it. It’s not every day you get friendly people in The food service industry.

Sadly I have to change my review. The burgers are amazing, but the last two times I bought French fries, they’ve been extremely salty. Which really sucks, cause I love fries. It’s frustrating because I pay an extra 4 dollars for fries and then tip on top of that, and sure, yall deserve a tip for the burgers, but could I have some potatoes with my salt? Salt is the only thing I tasted when eating your fries. I feel cheated and like I over payed for low quality. I don’t know if I’ll be back, and if I am I won’t be ordering the fries
I gave it another shot last night 2/21/26 and honestly it was some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced from a place. I waited 40 minutes to get my food when it wasn’t busy in the restaurant. I don’t know if they had a lot of online orders or not.
Then another guests burger was undercooked while I was there and they straight up refused to make it right for her for the longest time and finally refunded the meal for her.
I got burgers for myself and my roommate and they were cold, the fries were warmer than the burgers. I’ve had terrible stomach pain all day at work, something that’s never happened from their food before. I haven’t consumed anything else today.
The one worker was moving very slow and seemed like he was on something.
It was, and has been a very negative experience. I will not be returning.

I went here with my friends while visiting Seattle. The food was good: I had their single patty burger with fries, and so did my other friend. Some of the fries had an odd taste, and when my friend asked if they had white vinegar, they said they didn’t, which is weird since a good establishment should have classic condiments. They didn’t have ice either, which is so strange for a food establishment that serves drinks. Whenever we needed extra sauce or any other requests, they were never at the till or nearby. The service was quite poor after we ordered our food. It seemed as if they hid away after serving the food. Would love to have a better ambience. The place was also quite empty, which doesn’t explain the fact that it seemed like they were always busy.

Staffing issues 9/28/25; Career bartender here. The guy up from hates his job. Asked for help and he said go look at the taps and turned his back to me. Asked for help and he just watched TV and when I asked for help a bunch of times he reluctantly told me he wasn’t a bartender or he’d be by the taps to help me…. Brooo I still tipped cus I’ve had bad days but my wife watched him do it to the next group that asked questions and said I should review. Sorry dude I just didn’t have my glasses on I’m sorry I couldn’t read the taps..
