My wife and I decided to try something new and visited Fat Shack, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. I ordered the classic burger meal, and my wife chose a sandwich with chicken, jalapeño poppers, Philly cheesesteak, and fries as a meal. The flavor of her sandwich was unpleasant enough that neither of us wanted to finish it.
When we ordered, we specifically asked for meals, but we were charged à la carte. When I asked about the drinks that should have been included, I was told we hadn’t ordered meals. After I explained the situation, the staff gave us the drinks but made a point of saying it “would’ve been four dollars more,” which felt unnecessary and added to the frustration.
The food quality didn’t match the price. The cheese fries were just fries with artificial‑tasting cheese for five dollars, and the onion rings tasted like the frozen kind you can buy at a grocery store. For a total of $42, the overall experience felt far below expectations.
I’m sharing this because I believe honest feedback helps businesses improve. Clearer communication at the register and better attention to food quality would go a long way toward creating a better customer experience.

I come here when I’m high or drunk (after the club) and get some food here, honestly not the best choice (who cares I already been making bad choices) but this food helps prevent my hangover lol and they always make sure you’re satisfied with the first bite. Andddd they don’t judge. ✅

Best thing about this place was the service. The 2 guys working were very friendly. The food was not good. The cheese fries had way too much cheese slopped on them. The burgers, even though they looked good the burger to topping ratio is off. The single burger is very thin, it was essentially a veggie sandwich. The milkshake was good. The dining area was dirty. If we had noticed the dirty dining area before ordering we would have left. My daughter was right, what do you expect from a place called Fat Shack.

The food was delicious. It was exactly what you’d expect from a place called Fat Shack. I had the short burger and was pleasantly surprised with the flavor. The fried pickles were good, but not the best I’ve ever had. We did order some fried Oreos as I’d never had one. Imagine funnel cake wrapped around an Oreo dipped in powdered sugar. Amazing! The staff was also very kind and attentive. I’m o my giving 4 stars due to cleanliness. The windows and walls look like they were wiped down with a dirty rag. Additionally, the tables weren’t very clean. A little cleaner, and they would have gotten 5 stars.

Dank munchie snacks! I really love the deep fried cheesecake bites! They are super huge. Got the sample platter and it was pretty good! The building was extremely hot so we ate fast and left. Cute little shop! Definitely recommend.

SOOO GOOD! Not disappointed that’s for sure. It was our first time in and we’ll definitely be back! The staff were amazing and the food came out really fast. We ordered The Fat Slob, Cheese Fries (side order not full order), and some Fried Oreos (you definitely want to pair with the strawberry and chocolate dipping sauce). Even almost done eating my sandwich it was still pipping hot steaming (check out the video). It was all so delicious!! Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu now!

Fat Shack is a fast food joint for those who want to leave their calorie-counting calculator at the door and enjoy unique sandwiches with reckless abandon.
We arrived on a Wednesday night around 6 p.m. Although the restaurant had about 5 tables available, there were a couple that were empty. We were greeted warmly at the counter by a gentleman with a great sense of humor who made us feel quite welcome. We ordered a cheeseburger and one of their signature “Fat” sandwiches.
The cheeseburger included american cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and burger sauce on a toasted brioche bun. I was served with a side of delicious fries. The burger was average, nothing great yet not horrible, but enough to hit the spot.
Feeling adventurous, I ordered the “Fat Slob,” which consisted of cheesesteak, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, french fries, ketchup & mayo on a large roll. Needless to say, there was an explosion of different flavors and textures with every bite. One may say it is too much, and perhaps so, but it was a sandwich unlike any other, and certainly left me without a craving for dessert! Overall, the Fat Slob was unique and very tasty. I would definitely like to return and try other Fat sanwiches, such as the Fat Doobie (chicken fingers, french fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks & honey mustard), or the Fat Cow (mac and cheese, bacon, french fries, mozzarella sticks & buffalo ranch).
Give Fat Shack credit, their Fat sandwiches are unabashedly creative and in your face. If you want something more than your average burger or chicken sandwich, then Fat Shack is certainly a “see it to believe it” venue.

I only had fried Oreos and fried cheesecake from here and they were both delicious. It was so much cheesecake filling though, I’m not sure I’d get it again but I loved the Oreos and my leftovers lasted 2-3 days. Typically fried Oreos aren’t so well being reheated but these did well. Definitely recommend for dessert. I’ll have to go back and try the food.

I am generally pretty picky when rating restaurants, but when they do good, I have to give them credit.
Fat Shack, tucked away in the Springs Ranch Shopping Center at Powers and N. Carefree, and a bit of a “hole in the wall,” is doing it right.
The burgers, juicy and thick, and tucked in a brioche bun, were cooked just right with a proper amount of “vegetables” on top.
Fries and onion rings were fresh, hot and crispy, and just as they should be done.
Topped off with milk shakes, right tasty and very cold and thick as well, made the whole meal as good as it gets.
Kara, our cook and server, was at the top of her game, and friendly too, and even kept the “to go” part of our order, Buffalo chicken wings, warm for us. Good stuff!
The place has limited sitting with three booths, and is slight on ambience, but still is functional.
