Did not order a signature, just off Dr Chang and the stomach a little ripe.
Went west coast 2x smash. 4Sho! Pricey? A bit. Next to in-n-out check. Staff very kind.
The sandwich is a regular size, but with all the fatty food in the sandwich makes it hard to finish in one seating (for me). I ordered a Fat Bruin because I couldn’t make a decision between a sandwich and smashed burgers so might as well get all in one. The only thing that was disappointing about the sandwich is that with all the ingredients in there, I couldn’t really taste the individual ingredients as they all started to blend together.
Service wise, there is only one window to order from so there is only one line. The wait was about 10-15 minutes we had time to go to the outdoor seating area to grab seats. There’s enough room for probably 6 different parties.
Parking may be difficult depending on when you come here but we luckily found some across the street.
Just wasn’t my thing I guess.
The vibe is fun and casual, making it a great hangout spot near UCLA. That said, it can get pretty crowded, especially during peak hours, and seating is limited, so finding a spot to eat can be tricky. Also, the prices are on the higher side, but the quality and portion sizes make it worth it.
If you’re in the mood for a messy, indulgent sandwich, Fat Sal’s is the place to be. It’s not an everyday spot, but it’s a treat you’ll remember!
Forget the white tablecloths and delicate plating. This isn’t about fine dining—it’s about real, hearty food served with attitude. Their sandwiches are stacked high with everything from mozzarella sticks and onion rings to pastrami and chicken fingers—all in one bite. It’s outrageous in the best possible way.
At Fat Sal’s, food is more than a meal—it’s an experience. Every order dares you to go big or go home, and the portions live up to the hype. Whether you’re nursing a monster craving or just want to indulge without holding back, this deli delivers every single time. It’s not just a sandwich shop—it’s a rite of passage for anyone who considers themselves a true eater. Come hungry, leave victorious.
