On a trip to Mexico after opening his first couple of restaurants, Chef/Proprietor, Scott Harris met a wonderful old Agave farmer with a dedicated pet donkey. This man’s steadfast donkey had worked alongside him in the Agave fields for over 20 years! While most people would disregard their work animal, the old man farmer treated Fat Rosie as part of the family. They had a rare and inseparable bond that had formed through the many years of hard work, sweat, and tears. Scott admired the love and care that this old man had for his trusted donkey. He admired it so much in fact, that one night after many shots of tequila he promised the old farmer he would one day open a tequila bar and name it after the beloved donkey, Fat Rosie.

First time at this location. It wasn’t too busy when I went around 3pm. Food and drinks were delicious. Staff was friendly and the photographer was very nice and gave me digital files of the pictures as well. Thank you so much! I will definitely be back.

I love the decor and the service but I would have been more impressed had the food tasted better. I ordered 3 individual tacos – fish, shrimp and al pastor and was only impressed with the shrimp, which at $7.25 each is pricey. The al pastor meat was fatty and was slathered with an underwhelming brown sauce. The tilapia was more of the same only it was slathered with an uneventful white sauce . I’m always disappointed when food is served lukewarm. Not a great first impression

The food was delicious, and the restaurant itself was super cute. We went for my grandma’s birthday, and had a good time.
Our server was friendly, but service was VERY slow. When he came with our drink order he had forgotten an iced tea and a Diet Coke. We ordered queso, but it was never put in (assuming because it never showed up on the bill).
I don’t think this was entirely his fault; it seemed like he had a really large section between the floor and the area up the few stairs.

Israel was a wonderful server. Very prompt with our drinks. Always checked in on us. His service was impeccable. And you can’t complain about his looks either (wink wink). Yes, I said that.

Celebrated my birthday here & they were so nice so welcoming and besides the good service the food is actually really good! I got three tacos fish,mahi,shrimp and it was fresh!!! The mango guacamole was fire OMG still thinking about it hahaha and the drinks were STRONG! Not watered down bs like a lot of other restaurants, the salsa and chips on the beginning was so good as well I will be back again!

Fat Rosie’s is a total blast! The restaurant is beautifully decorated with bright colors, and the music was perfectly on point to keep the energy high.
The food was absolutely delicious and the margaritas were excellent, but what really made the night was our server, Dayana. She was incredibly warm, friendly, and provided really excellent, quick service. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of speed and genuine hospitality.
Highly recommend—ask for Dayana!

We recently had the opportunity to celebrate my wife’s birthday at Fat Rosie’s, and it was the perfect restaurant for our special occasion with our three kids! Our waiter, Julio Cesar, was fantastic; he was very attentive and made our kids laugh, especially with the fun sombreros. The staff did an excellent job with the birthday celebration. Everything we ordered was delicious, particularly the fajitas, and the portions were generous. We also loved the mole enchiladas, tacos, and burritos. The margaritas and mocktails were scrumptious as well. We definitely plan to return for future family celebrations. ¡Salud!
