Really fun atmosphere with great service and an incredibly friendly staff. The chips and salads were amazing. The fajitas were packed with flavor, and the chicken tacos were some of the most tender and delicious tacos I’ve ever had. Definitely a place worth coming back to!

SILVIA our server was the Greatest. First time for me for my Bday. Yessss they sang and I had a Sombrero. Atmosphere was nice had fireplace seating. Food was really well prepared. Chicken and steak fajitas. Silvia picked my bday margarita which was pineapple mango it was Fiyaaaaa and will take another trip.

After a good experience at the Schaumburg location I made my way to Frankfort which is more local. The street corn is one of my favorites and I love how fresh everything is. The margarita with blueberries is to die for. They were out of the pastor so I did the mahi (flakey and flavorful), chicken (perfectly seasoned), and carne asada (good but my least favorite). The shrimp tacos were phenomenal. Overall a good experience and delicious food.

I was in the mood for some tacos and this local “chain” had a very high rating and was nearby, so I wanted to try this spot in the very ambient downtown Frankfort.
Their complimentary freshly made tortilla chips are some of the best I have had. It was warm, super crunchy and salted nicely with a fragrant salsa dip!! This was a great start so was really looking forward to their tacos.
For starters, I tried their Mexican street corn (elote) and it was really excellent. Creamy and seasoned well, it was getting better.
Ordered these tacos on corn tortillas, which I was hoping was double tortillas but it was single. Nonetheless, their al pastor with the grilled pineapple was my favorite. Since its prepared behind closed doors, I could not ascertain if its made off a traditional spit like other taquerias but it was delicious.
Their fried fish taco was a good size and fish was flakey and tender.
I was surprised with their shrimp taco that was listed as having arugula and red onions; was expecting a tart flavor but it was very sweet. The shrimp was cubed which I thought was a bit strange. But it was still good but my least favorite.
The atmosphere was bright and vibrant. The staff friendly and attentive. A real good spot to bring large groups (more than 3). I would expect the other locations are consistent with food and service, but this is first time trying this place. Its good to have choices. A very solid 4.5⭐️s!!!

Food was amazing! We sat in the back by the fireplace and it’s was a very nice atmosphere. Our server Juan L was on top of it, never an empty drink at the table. The mocktails are great!

Not being from the area, we’ve wanted to try Fat Rosie’s several times during previous visits. We finally did today and we were not disappointed. The carne asada tacos were fantastic and the habanero hot sauce recommended by Juan L was amazing…and hot! He even suggested mixing a bit with our salsa, which gave it a great kick. The atmosphere was festive and the service was great as well. We will definitely be back.

I was invited to this restaurant this past Sunday. I was a birthday celebration and the party was rather large, about 25- 30. We were seated at several round tables, and a couple of square tables. To our amazement we were only provided 1 server for the entire party. There were six at my table so we asked the server since it was just her if we could make one check for our table. She said no. She took our orders and we thought it would be a while, but the food arrived quicker than I thought. First notice my cousin’s steak fajitas. It was the first time I ever seen fajitas served that was not hot. No sizzle. It looked dry. My cousin commented that it was just warm and the peppers were undercooked. My dad who ordered chicken fajitas said the same about his peppers. I ordered the French Toast, it was good, but the presentation was awful. I took a picture. Others in our party complained about their food as well. As we knew would be the case each of us had to look over the long receipt totaling over $700.00 to find what we owed and square up with the host. My sister used her card and waited twenty minutes to get it back. This was unnecessary. Another server could have elevated some of dissatisfaction. I guess the server wanted to prove that she could handle a party of that size alone. This could have been a much better experience. As for me, it’s one and done. Won’t return.

Our server Miryam was lovely! So incredibly personable. Acknowledged and interacted with my 6 year old in the warmest way. It was a Saturday night and extremely busy with multiple birthdays , including us. Miryam handled it with calm and patience like a true professional and never made us feel rushed. She deserves the highest praise. Give her a raise!
