We went for the IU Rose Bowl game where Al, one of the wait staff nicely set us up for a 12 top. He was replaced by Sophia and she was splendid, attentive with great energy. With several 10 year olds with us, the lay out worked well where they could move around, do a pop-a-shot and even throw the pig-skin outside at the library entrance. We enjoyed several rounds of Old Style pitchers and some tasty burger/fries. While not quite the energy of some of the establishments in town, it worked perfectly for us. ENJOY!

Great location. Sandwiches are good. Table fries are a must! Fresh cut! The service was slow the day we went. It was a student drop off day so I was surprised they were understaffed. Pressed Cuban was very good.

My book club had pre-arranged to meet here but we were not saved a big enough space. When we asked to have the very loud music turned down so we could talk, we were told “It’s a bar” as if bars must be loud. There were 2 other large groups conversing, several children and students studying with ear buds in. Not a typical bar.
This is also not what I consider a deli. There are one, maybe 2 vegetarian choices. All the appetizers have meat. I had a very mediocre veggie burger. Don’t bother. When we got our checks, I did not notice a “service fee” is added so gave a 36% tip. I won’t be going back. If it wasn’t right on Bloomington’s main drag, I don’t think anyone would seek this place out.

The food here is incredible. Located conveniently across the public library and a short walk from the bus transit. Ordered a mouth-watering brisket sandwich while my husband ordered the corned beef sandwich. Did not disappoint. Generous portions of tender juiciness. The pub itself could use some updating. Service was friendly and quick. Will go again soon. 8/10

Fat Dans is a nice spot in Bloomington if you’re looking for brews and sandwiches. Their food is always good and comes in large portions. I’ve had both the chicken wings and the grilled chicken sandwich from here. The wings are some of the best in Bloomington! The grilled chicken sandwich was excellent as well, I loved the seasoning they put on the chicken to help it stand up to some of their more creative sandwich options. Most of the sandwiches come with chips but I highly recommend their tater tots.

I brought a group of friends in for a birthday party and everything was PERFECT. They kept the cake on the fridge for us, food was super fast and hot even though it was a table of 12. Our server was an absolute delight and it really was the perfect place to throw a little celebration. I’ve always loved fat dans but after last night It’s jumped to the top of my list for local places that do things the right way.

Stopped in for dinner and some craft beers! Food was great and service just as good! One of the best Reuben I’ve ever had! The corned beef was excellent. Very good taste so tender!!! We also had the mini corn dogs and those were very good as well. Next time we’re in town we’ll be back for sure! The nice beer selection was a plus!
