Food was decent. Service was ok. I used my pocket knife as my utensils. Not sure if they have forks or knives here, I wasn’t given any and wasn’t asked about using my pocket knife. Glad I tried it, wasn’t bad. $28 for ribs no side. Fried potatoes had great flavor. $38 after tax for ribs and potatoes.

I saw a video about this place and decided to try it. It’s a nice cozy Chicago themed bar with plenty of interesting and fun decor. The service is really good with food to match. We ordered a couple of different things and both were delicious. If you’re in Indy and you’re looking for a great place with great vibes give this place a try.

Really great place to eat with friends, I ordered a polish sausage hot dog and an Italian beef, both of them really delicious, the meat of the Italian beef it’s at his best point and also a really good bread, about the hot dog I think if you like Chicago style you will also like the polish style, large selection of beers can’t remember what I ordered but it was nice, the fries are kind of lame they were a little burnt, also excellent service

This place is lit. Great vibe. Chicago oriented. I was in town for the night but hope to return with friends for an even better time. Has outdoor seating, which is covered. Oh and the food? Good stuff. I’m not sure if they are the best fries. But they are tasty hot. Not so much if you let them get cold. My sandwich was the best BLT I’ve had. But it was my first. Good stuff all the way around. They could spruce the place up with some Purdue stuff though.

We came to Fat Dans for the first time. Wasn’t sure what to expect, but just wanted something a little different than the norm.
This place did not disappoint!!
We had the Chicago dog and a burger and also got champ tots. Oh! And can’t forget the amazing fries!

The food was great and the taste was decent. We basically ordered the wings, fries and some tater tots. I would rate the wings a solid 8/10, decent flavor and not too dry. Portion sizes were definitely large enough, we ordered a little too much just for 3 people. We basically all 3 got wings, 1 large fries and tater tots -think the tater tots were something special though, so a little more than regular. Total came out to be $130, I do think we ordered like 2-3 drinks as well but forgot which. (with tax and tip) Definitely an old fashioned but hearty meal.

The wife and I were shopping and hanging out in Indianapolis and we decided to pop into Fat Dan’s for a quick beer. The place was full but not packed too tightly. We didn’t eat anything but it smelled great! I think the special was a meatloaf sandwich and I was a bit jealous because we had just eaten. ☹️ The prices seems perfectly fine. Staff was fantastic and friendly. A fun vibe from a very accessible establishment. I suggest that if life’s adventure ever sends you towards Fat Dan’s Deli go in and enjoy yourself, have a drink or something to eat. You won’t regret it!!
