Everything we ordered was phenomenal. Every single bite felt intentional and creative. Nothing was boring. Nothing was ordinary.
And the drinks were SO good.
It’s rare to find a place that nails atmosphere, flavor, and service all at once, but they absolutely did.
We’ll be telling everyone about this spot and already can’t wait to go back and order half the menu again. Obsessed is an understatement.

Delicious food in a warm atmosphere on a frigid winter day! I loved the Shrimp Curry Bowl. It was a little spicy, but delicious. My niece enjoyed the pot pie (comfort food)! Loved the Chocolate Cake dessert with Salted Caramel Ice Cream! Yum!

Came back for the second time and ordered the same thing – Arroz Caldo with pork belly. I can say that the flavor was different this time. I like the gingery flavor of this but this time you can’t even tasted it. It was loaded with a bunch of green onions and that’s basically I can taste and the pork belly was really salty. I ended up taking it home because I really can’t eat it and I don’t really want to throw and waste it. I wanted to give them another try and hopefully the flavor will be better and consistent next time.

We went to Far Cats for lunch on a Tuesday, so we were surprised that the place was full.
The food was good – I appreciated the vegan options. We had the vegan calamari for appetizer and Tofu Noodle Salad, the Tofu Banh Mi, and the Pancit with swordfish for the main course. The noodle salad and the Banh mi were good. The swordfish smelled fishy. I didn’t have any myself, but it didn’t smell terribly fresh.
The server was pretty unfriendly and serving us seemed like a bother for her.
We sat by the window, across from the bar after waiting a while for seating to become available, but since things were not moving along, we decided to go ahead and sit at the bar-style high table by the window. It was very cold so we had to eat with our coats on – not very pleasant or comfortable. I enjoyed the food, but all in all it was a disappointing experience.

This place was exactly what I wanted, a sincerely quirky and unique atmosphere, excellent menu and knowledgeable staff, perfect service and delicious food. The quality of their NA beverage menu and obviously community minded branding, complete with snacks for your dog is top tier.

This is a really adorable building and location. Was seated right away with fast service. I got the warm goat cheese with bread and it was insanely good. Got a crab melt after, it was pretty good but would get something different next time. Got lemon cake dessert which I forgot to take a pic of but that was great too. Pretty cheap too!! Lots of flies tho:-(

Hit this up randomly yesterday before a stop at the west side market and the food was really good. Had a hankering for some steamed buns and boy were they worth the stop. Also got some of the empanadas, which I thought were all different flavors because the mixture on the menu didn’t seem to make sense. Boy was I wrong. Beef good, onions good, olives good, potatoes good, raisins good! Mix in some banana and homemade ketchup which was banging! Fantastic start to the day. Chefs kiss!

Boa buns were not light and airy. Dumplings were doughy and the vegan calamari was very bland. Good service and great atmosphere. We sat on the patio, beautiful night with fireworks in the distance.

Fat Cats was a cool place, I think I just went at the wrong time. I sat up at the bar as not to take a table when it was just myself. The food was OK, I wouldn’t order the fish tacos again, there was hardly any fish, a very small piece on each taco with more pickled onions (that I love) than anything the cilantro & jalapeños added a nice flavor. The “taco shell” was not what i was expecting but it was different. The Sweet potato fries were interesting, I liked the dipping sauce with them. It tasted like a sun-dried tomato dip. The house burger seemed to be popular & maybe that’s what I should have tried but I wanted to be different since this is a new city and place for me. The staff was friendly and answered all of my questions.
