I hate giving bad review but had such a blah experience yesterday. I’ve gone a handful of times while living in the area and love the carne asada burritos. They don’t speak like any English so if you have any issues then you can’t really convey it to them. I ordered five burritos and only got 3. I went back in to tell them and it was very difficult to communicate. I then asked to buy some cookie after getting the burritos they missed and she said no ♀️ I think she thought I was asking for them for free? I also realized after getting home I didn’t get my cup of street corn either. Overall disappointing experience I understand mix ups happen but it’s frustrating that you can’t even convey them.

This place has a great variety of tacos and other dishes that my extended family and I enjoyed on our brief visit to Wisconsin.
It was freezing cold outside (I’m used to the climate in the southeast) but it was comfortable inside and the staff was very polite.
Jesus and his entire family have a great thing going here in addition to their Latinos Creativos community. If by some miracle we ever end up in Wisconsin again, I look forward to a return trip for some more tacos and enchiladas!

Very friendly staff. Food was ok. I wish they had a kids menu. 65 for 3 quesadillas a burrito and 3 tacos was a little steep. Especially because you could tell the food was sitting. What I personally don’t like is in the grocery store part there are no price tags. I love the variety but very leery to go buy something without knowing my budget.

Had tacos, very good. Its a grocery store with counter service and some tables for eating. Don’t let that discourage you from eating there or taking it to go. I will be back

Listen I believe that some of the best food comes from places you least expect. With that said, they have a variety of store products and i love that. No one has ever been rude to me but no one is ever greeting you. Which again not bad just not how I was trained… so we decided to give the food a try. Excited we ordered 3 separate “meals” and one being the full meal with rice and beans. The others were just them main item (tacos/enchiladas)
Welp… the food was microwaved. All of it separately. So I should have known better but I proceeded to look around while my husband waited, so truly didnt k ow that until after we left. It did take forever i will say that. The total came to $87 which it hurts to even bring it up. To add to that they didn’t even gives us the sides that came with the actual meal. So if you want leftovers heated in the microwave and possibly incomplete order that is little pricey then yeah eat there…. but for what you pay it should be hot off the stove and complete.

Boy has this place changed. 3 years ago I raved about it and gave it 5 stars. Its now at a new location on Madison. They can’t decide if they are an appliance store,
market, restaurant or clothing store and the food tastes like it. Last time we felt like it had gone downhill as the consistency and quality were different. We decided to give them another try today. My Carne asada quesadilla was more like roast beef and not good at all. Nothing like carne asada should be, like seasoned steak. My husband had a carnitas burrito. It was gross, like a huge chunk of flavorless pork, not seasoned. It had blobs of fat and gristle. We won’t be back. Really a shame cause when these guys opened downtown on main it was really great. Too bad. Step it up guys. People around here will realize the poor quality of meat you are using. Market items WAY over priced. I should have went to Walmart. Don’t waste your money. We’re Mexican food lovers from CA so we know the difference from great food to this gross imitation.

Excellent food and overall excellent experience. This restaurant was tucked in the back of the grocery store so don’t be worried that you are walking into the wrong place. The prices are decent for the current world we live in. I order the 3 large tacos and large horchata and the total was $15. I think they definitely deserve 4.5 stars as the quality was good but lacked a little flavor but the green sauce and limes made up for that. They really have grown from a food truck to having several different locations now. I think that’s where the quality difference comes in as they went from one location to trying to replicate the original over and over.

Some of the most authentic street Mexican food I’ve had in Wisconsin, the staff were welcoming and friendly, and the prices were fair. Would 100% recommend to anyone.
