Farzi NYC is the real deal. From the moment we walked in, Shiva at the reception desk made us feel incredibly welcome and set a great tone for the night. Once we were seated, he was excellent and handled the table with perfect timing.
The food is on another level. The complimentary amuse-bouche and the refreshing palate cleanser between courses were thoughtful touches that really elevated the entire meal. We started with the Old Delhi Murgh Seekh Kebab, which was perfectly tender, but the Laal Maas was the heavy hitter of the night. You absolutely have to pair it with the Chilli Rosemary Garlic Naan. I have eaten all over NYC and this naan is unlike anything else in the city. It is a total game changer.
The bar program is just as impressive, and the bartender was an absolute magician. The Cleo is a sophisticated, elevated take on a lychee martini, and the Cinematic with that sweet popcorn flavor is a must try. We wrapped things up with the Bailey’s Rabri, which was the perfect creamy and boozy finish.
Huge kudos to Executive Chef Gaurav Chawla, who stepped by our table, as well as Harish, Shiva, and the entire team for a top tier experience.
If you are in Tribeca, this is the spot.

We’ve experienced Farzi on two very different occasions—once for a family dinner and once for a larger event—and both were equally exceptional. What truly stood out was the same level of care and attention to detail, even at a larger scale.

Chef Gaurav and his team went above and beyond to create a memorable experience. The food was consistently excellent, served at the perfect temperature, and beautifully plated. His culinary vision truly shines through in every dish. We loved the Must have apps- Prawnstar, Dahi puri, Panner lasagne, Salmon Tikka, Loved our entrees – Dal Makhani, Chicken Kofta, Paneer Labandar – the best panner in NYC! And don’t skip the desserts. We are coming back for the rest of the items on that menu!!

The staff worked closely with us to customize the basement event space to our needs and were incredibly helpful throughout. A special mention to the bartender, who crafted fantastic cocktails and effortlessly kept up with our guests’ requests.

If you haven’t been to Farzi, you are truly missing out.

We chose Farzi for a special birthday dinner with family, and I have 0 regrets and am so glad we did. Impeccable food, better than the fanciest restaurants in NYC, an ambience with raving about and the service is top notch.

We ordered every single vegetarian dish on the menu from the appetizers to the mains and I am yet to find one thing that was not delicious and out of this world. The food here is pure art inside out.

Chef Gaurav came out personally on his own to check in on everything— so warm and dedicated to making this an exceptional experience. A big shoutout to our server, Harish for taking excellent care of us the entire evening and even anticipating what we might want before we asked for it.

Farzi is a gem and it’s one of the best NYC has to offer. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tip – Go with a large group so you can order everything

Farzi Café truly lives up to the hype. It’s an upscale spot with a creative twist on Indian fusion food, and everything from the ambiance to the presentation feels thoughtfully done. Visited here on my wife’s birthday and a special shoutout to the team for accommodating Jain food — the dishes were completely out of the box, authentic, and beautifully made. Our order taker, Harish, was extremely helpful, which made the experience even better. Definitely a place worth visiting if you enjoy modern Indian cuisine done right.

Will visit back again to try their dessert and other mocktails.

Farzi is impressive from the minute you walk in, the decor is amazing and the ambiance is fabulous.
My family and I were greeted and seated immediately with a friendly smile from the staff.
Our server Harish was very friendly and courteous, he made some good recommendations on dishes and drinks, conversation with him was pleasant and he would constantly check up on us to make sure our table was taken care.
Executive Chef Gaurav and team were beyond impressive, chef himself stopped by our table a few times and brought us some amazing tasters!.
His cooking technique is very unique with creativity and fusion of spices with various authentic dishes is next level.

We ordered a variety of dishes and and breads, every dish was packed with flavor.
Loved our dining experience from start to finish….this is what fine dining is all about.

I visited Farzi last night, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Our server, Harish, was outstanding—attentive, warm, and always making sure we were taken care of. He explained each dish and gave great recommendations, which really enhanced our meal.

The food was the true highlight. Every dish was beautifully presented, and they’ve taken Indian cuisine to the next level. The chef even came to our table to introduce himself and explain each dish, which made the experience even more special. The flavors were just as incredible as the presentation.

I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this place!

My friends and I picked this place to celebrate the end of 2025 and the atmosphere was perfect for it. We really enjoyed most of the dishes, the chili chicken bao, daal Chawal Orinchini, the cod and the lamb shank we great. The cocktails were OK and a little on the weak side.

Our server Harish was attentive and great with recommendations. The evening was almost perfect. The only strange thing was how the owner of the restaurant tried to rush us out as soon as we finished the last bite of our desserts. Our evening ended quite abruptly after that. In the future I’d recommend that he doesn’t do that.

An unforgettable modern Indian feast

From the moment you step inside Farzi, you know you’re in for a special evening. The decor’s soft, intimate lighting casts a warm glow over a minimalist space, accented with rich, jewel-toned textiles and delicate patterns. Beautiful artwork on the walls and the quiet hum of ambient music complete the sophisticated, yet cozy, atmosphere, making it ideal for both a romantic date night and a celebratory dinner.

The true star of the show is the food, thanks to the remarkable talent of the young Chef. The menu is a vibrant journey that honors authentic Indian flavors while presenting them with an innovative, contemporary flair. From appetizers to main course each dish was a pure revelation, surprise and work of art, with vibrant colors and artful placement that made every dish a feast for the eyes before it was for the palate.

The creativity extends to the drink menu as well. We were delighted by the thoughtful mocktail and cocktail selection, which moved far beyond standard juices and drinks

The service was impeccable throughout the night. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the menu, guiding us through the dishes and describing the chef’s vision for each plate.

In a culinary landscape where “modern” often sacrifices soul, Farzi succeeds brilliantly. It’s a place where authentic Indian tastes are respected and elevated through fresh vision and flawless technique. An unforgettable experience that I cannot recommend highly enough.

We chose Farzi NYC to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and unfortunately the seating really took away from what should have been a special night. While the food was excellent and the service was attentive and friendly, our table was far too small to comfortably enjoy the meal. It barely fit more than one dish at a time, which made the experience feel rushed, cramped, and overwhelming rather than relaxed and celebratory.
The food itself was great, which makes this even more disappointing. With better seating, this could have been a wonderful experience, but the table size overshadowed the evening. Being that this is a high end restaurant it should’ve had better seating for the price point.
