Farzi has always been one of my favorite cafés in Hyderabad, India. so I was excited to try their Washington location too. The staff were upfront that the menu here is tailored to local flavors, and I could definitely feel that difference, the food was okay but lacked the spice I usually enjoy. It’s more of a fine-dining setup, so the portions felt small for the price. Overall, it’s worth trying once for the experience, but it doesn’t quite match the charm of the Hyderabad branch.

Farzi never lets me down! And our last dinner there was exceptionally amazing thanks to our server, Jeff His recommendations were all on point. We had Pani Puri, Flamed Grilled Lamb Chops, Pressure Cooker Mutton Curry, Butter Chicken, and some Naan – They were all delicious! The Sticky Toffee Puding was rich but not overly sweet. It’s very close to our favorite in Scotland:) Jeff also picked us the best wines to our tastes. The most important for us is the fresh ingredients Farzi always uses. Ambience was great as usual.

This is the only branch of brand Farzi Cafe in the US. They offer a crafted menu catered for every season. The portions are relatively small but the food tastes delicious. Their Dal Makhani is definitely worth trying and so are many other dishes.

The starters were the highlight of the meal—Jack on Fire, Fire It Up, and the Dal Chawal Arancini were all delicious, and the Lamb Seekh Kebab was not bad. Unfortunately, the main courses didn’t quite measure up. The Pressure Cooker Mutton and Farzi Paneer Lababdar were just okay, nothing particularly memorable. The Garlic Naan was excellent, but the Malabar Paratha fell short of expectations.
What truly soured the experience, however, was the added credit card surcharge on top of an already pricey menu and an exorbitant gratuity. It’s hard to considering it a fine dining place when it relies on such cheap tactics.

We made dinner reservations here one Saturday night, and the chicken tikka masala was out of this world! The pani puri shots were so fun, and we had the garlic naan and chicken kofta too. Great service, and very lively. Great place to come with friends/ family.

Our first time here and the place has its own
vibe. We went in for dinner on a Thursday without a reservation and had to wait 5-10 minutes to get seated. We had the dal chawal arachni , pani puri shots, chicken bao, prawnstar, awadhi chicken biryani and the rasmalai cake. The presentation of all the food items was awesome.
Taste wise, The best among the lot were the pani puri shots, dal chawal Arachini and the chicken bao. Delicious. The awadhi chicken biryani was okay – I have had better biryanis. The dessert was a huge disappointment- there were too many things included to make the rasmalai look presentable but lacked taste. I felt I was having sweet milk.
The spice levels of the chicken bao and prawnstar are at least 4-5. So keep in mind it’s super spice before having it.

What an amazing experience it was at Farzi cafe. The staff give you a feel of a private butler kind of service taking very good care of you. The ambience is top notch. Food was good and service was exemplary. Definitely coming back here for more dinner events.

A great Indian fusion restaurant with flavorful dishes and creative twists on the classics. The food was really good and well-presented. Service was excellent, the staff were attentive and gave great recommendations that matched our taste perfectly.
The only downside is that the place can get a bit noisy and feels slightly cramped during busy hours. Still, overall a very enjoyable dining experience and definitely worth coming back for the food!

I was disappointed from the moment our first food item arrived- pani puri- India’s favorite dish known as flavor bomb. And here it came with the puri stuffed with plain bland Quinoa!!! UNIMAGINABLY DISASTROUS!
One of our friends ordered khichdi. I know you will say who orders khichdi and who even has that on the menu. Well we ordered it with the same curiosity to see what Farzi twist have they given to it. Well it was “Quinoa” again! They replaced rice with quinoa in the khichdi.
Vada pav was also average in taste. And so was paneer.
All of this at inflated price and small portion size. I think they charge for all the liquid nitrogen they use to glorify their average food.
But yes, there was one thing I really liked. It was innovative and tasty- the avocado tikka

I recently visited Farzi Café Rasta and had an excellent experience. The ambiance is vibrant and welcoming, creating a perfect spot to relax and enjoy good food. The service was warm, attentive, and made the visit even better. I tried their platter, and it was truly delicious – well-prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite had a nice balance of taste and quality. Overall, the environment, food, and service all came together to make it a wonderful dining experience. Definitely a place worth visiting if you’re looking for great food and a lively atmosphere.
