I stopped in for breakfast and the food was very good! fresh, tasty, and definitely the highlight of the visit. The atmosphere, however, felt a bit run down and lacking in energy, which took away from the overall experience. On the positive side, the service was excellent. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, attentive, and really made me feel welcome.

Excellent service. Soups were great. Turkey lunch was bland. Chicken sandwich was good, if I would order it again I’d ask for cheddar or swiss instead of american cheese. Their salad bar looked amazing.

Have eaten here a number of times and food is fairly good the salad bar is expensive but very good especially like it. Most of the servers are friendly. Floors and occasionally tables not so clean at peak times otherwise atmosphere ok, it might not be your place if you don’t like Fox News as it’s usually playing on all the TVs.

This was a fine breakfast experience. The food was solid and we’ll be returning. Service was spot on. Only niggle was my toast was cold and wouldn’t melt butter. Coffee was good as well.

Update: March 2025…
We wanted breakfast on our way to points West and stopped at Farro’s. We had lunch here before (see review below) and we were again, not disappointed. We started with their mozzarella sticks (yes for breakfast) and they are fantastic. They are not breaded, but are wrapped in a wonton type wrapper. We both had omelets with baby red potatoes and they are incredible. You need to stop here when you are in the area!

Original Review…..
What a wonderful dining experience we had last night. The atmosphere is pleasant with many locals in for a bite to eat. Our server was very helpful in describing the specials and checked in on us just the right amount of times. I started with a Tomatoe Bisque which was fabulous.
I followed that up with the Montery Jack Lime Chicken with Baby Red Potatoes. Yummy! The chicken breast was huge and cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. I highly recommend you put this on your list of places to go.

Waitress never said there was a buffet until other people came in and the other waitress told them there was a buffet. By then we already had our food. We received burnt pancakes and crepes. Hasbrowns were good but I could’ve ate eggs and a whole bunch of stuff on a buffet if we were told. Not impressed at all.

This is a family favorite spot. The cheese soup is a recipe I want!! Great staff good portions decent price. The owner is always there to make sure everything is right. We love it and will support this city favorite!! Update on the picks. One is the meat lovers skillet with over easy eggs. The soup is cheese soup with crackers. The wings are huge!!! 10 for 12 or 14 for 17.
Update: still awesome!! Only bad thing I feel is that they charge about $2 to use a debit card. But still delicious

My wife ordered a waffle and wanted 1 egg as a side. Received the bill and they charged $8.50 for 1 egg!!!!!! This is way out of line, you can buy 24 eggs for that price! Food was good but they have lost 2 customers.
