The most important thing about this place is that it has the best sea food soup this side of the Atlantic! Converted barn, great space! The service was alright! One server, but the place was not too busy! As I was leaving then It started to fill up! More servers showed up! You won’t be disappointed with the food!

The waitress seemed annoyed and rushed even though we were there at opening. We had to find her to get the check. Maybe she was having an off day. The actual service was great she just wasn’t in a good mood. We were celebrating my Mom’s 83rd birthday. She grew up in Beaumont so it was a special breakfast. The food was delicious and fresh. The decor and atmosphere was great. The other dinners even stopped and chatted with Mom which was sweet.

I haven’t been there in years so we decided to go try it and I took my wife for the first time. We ordered lunch and I had ordered the fried chicken and my wife had ordered the croissant with avocado and turkey. We split an order of chili cheese fries.Which those were amazing. Unfortunately the lunch plates were not. My chicken was so overcooked that the meat itself was hard as a rock. The zucchini on my plate was burnt but still raw. My wife’s croissant was burnt as well as the turkey seemed to be about to spoil. You don’t grill a croissant sandwich.The croissant was burnt on top, which that led me to believe that their croissants are refrigerated and they needed some way of warming them up.So they weren’t that fresh. Our server was great.The atmosphere was awesome. As always, but definitely, I suggest this for a breakfast place, not a lunch or maybe even dinner.

Actually I was railroaded into the Mexican restaurant that was connected to the farm house and the food was awful. No flavor and the meat was dry and tasteless. I should have just left rather than waste over $30. I ordered the combo fajitas and there was a lot of food and I was given a to-go container, and 3 days later the food is still in my fridge. I had driven a long way to try this place, so I wasted time, gas and $$.

Exquisitely at the top of my list. The restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere, never crowded, you’re greeted politely, and served professionally. The food is very delicious and fresh like you would make at home, no fuss, no must. The dining area also has music, not blaring, just loud enough for you can hear, you can hear the person you’re talking to. They serve breakfast all day, you can orde most anything you want even beer, liquor not sure about wine. There is also desert, huge slices of my favorite cheesecake, and others to choose from. I came here three days in a row, my whole family loves FHR.

Good spot for breakfast. Chicken fried steak was great and the country gravy was about as good as you get. Biscuits and gravy were on point and the french toast looked awesome. We’ve been stopping here for years and the food is always consitently good. We will be back.

This place is a bit deceiving. As you can see from the photos, it has two different names. Apparently in the morning, it’s still the Farm House serving country breakfast. Then, in the afternoons till night time, it’s a Mexican restaurant?

What a hidden gem this place is. We found this place on a weekday at just before 3pm, which allowed us to get in on the lunch menu.
They have 2 restaurants. One is primarily American and the other is Mexican. The Mexican side is larger and has a bar and a stage. They also have karaoke on this side.
We chose the American side for a hamburger and grilled chicken burger. These were super good. The fried zucchini was delicious. Our server, Blanca, did a great job. Super attentive and friendly.
This restaurant is right off the freeway and close to a large popular hotel.
