My server, Aliya, was wonderful—super nice, friendly, and very patient while I decided on my order. I went with the Ranch Smash Burger and a mushroom soup on the side. Both were absolutely delicious! Honestly, the burger was better than what I’ve had at some fancy restaurants.
If you’re looking for high-quality food or just want to grab a bite while grocery shopping, I highly recommend this spot. Prices are very reasonable too, which makes it even better.
My wife and I occasionally drive from Crawfordsville for their Sunday brunch buffet, which is not to be missed.
Just make sure to order your hash “browns” well done.
Let me start with a little back story…
My kids and I take my wife out for breakfast every year for Mother’s Day. (We usually don’t go on the actual day to avoid the crowds). This year, we picked the Farmhouse Restaurant after hearing good things about their brunch.
That brings us back to the present. Upon entering the restaurant, we proceeded to the cashier to pay for our brunch. Three of us ordered the brunch while my oldest daughter went for some sushi.
As we left the register and went to the buffet line, we quickly noticed that they only had breakfast items on the line. I went back to the cashier to ask about lunch items and was told it was a breakfast buffet only. When I mentioned that their website said it was a brunch, she said “that’s what we call it”. I told her how disappointed I was and asked for a refund for myself because I was not interested in having breakfast.
My wife and daughter had the breakfast “buffet”. It was overcooked and underwhelming. I ended up ordering a 2 piece chicken dinner from the deli counter.
The final letdown was when my wife went back to the buffet line to get some more food (around 1 pm) and found they had cleared all of the food already. Their website clearly states that the weekend brunch is from 6 am – 2 pm. : (
