We loved our lunch here today. Cute interior, nice outdoor deck seating area, super friendly staff were very nice and did a great job with us, not much parking, but there’s some around.
This was the best hush puppies and fried okra I’ve ever had. Could have used a bit more flavor in the fried catfish special, though it was a nice piece of fish. Terrific banana pudding. Excellent fried pickles, the best I’ve had.
This place will remain on my list!

Service was really nice and the bartender brought us our drinks shortly after order them and I ordered a rare steak and I do not believe in sending it back to the chef and before anyone comments, I do not believe sending food back. It’s a waste. especially when the menu says market price. I also was told that most of the drinks I was asking for were not available on a Sunday, which is the end it can be understandable.

Food is home made. Good comfort food. Great selection on the menu. Very clean, relaxing, and friendly atmosphere. The waitress was very patient and kind with our party of 4 as we took our time with the menu, and she explained it well, since it was our first time there. Everything is freshly cooked, and homemade, even the desserts. Go for a delicious meal, but…have some money ready, as it is a very expensive place to eat, but well worth it.

After two years of living in Alabama, we were so excited to finally find a locally owned steakhouse that served alcohol! Yes! It is located in an old Victorian home and had a great ambiance! Our waitress Haley did a good job, and we got an appetizer of Buffalo chicken dip. Homemade! It was very tasty! Our drinks were cold, and everything started off right! Then the entrees came….finally…..after a 45 minute wait. My wife ordered the pork ribeye with a side salad and mashed taters. The taters were instant, but ok. The pork ribeye was burnt to a crisp. She was able to get some of it down, but most went home to the dogs. I got their signature burger, the Big Daddy! Menu said it came with bacon and a 4 oz breaded cheddar cheese patty and hand cut fries. I told Haley I wanted the burger done medium well. When it came out on a pretzel bun, nice. First problem, the 4 oz breaded cheddar patty was a small handful of cheddar cheese cubes smashed together! Literally, it looked like the cook took them and balled them up in his fist and slapped them on my sandwich. Come on! If you menu it as a 4 oz patty, serve a dang 4 oz patty!! My first bite I knew it was not cooked medium. The patty was hard, tough, and dry. I wanted medium, I got over cooked, well done. Terrible. I ate about 4 bites and took the rest home to my dogs. And the hand cut fries? While they looked ok, they were luke warm and limp. Apparently, they didn’t soak them and drain them right to the fryer. Or they left them under the heat lamp and just let them wilt.
We were so darn excited to find this place and give it a try, but without a doubt, we will never go back. And yes, with tip is was just shy of $100. Ugh….

Atmosphere is pretty cool in an old house. Unfortunately the food makes it a one and done. All the fries were way overcooked. The smashed sliders were not smashed burgers at all but way overdone smaller burgers. Broccoli was just mush so kids wouldn’t eat it. First restaurant I have been to in over 40 years that charges for a cup of tap water. Wanted it to be good but not much effort was put into the food.

Probably one of the best hamburgers ive had in a long while! Tasted fresh and not overseasoned, fries were delicious. Only real complaint was the quantity of cheese curds was on the low end.

I couldn’t just eat here and not say something. I was recommended to eat here today by a lady in the bank just down the road. So I stopped and got their ribeye. I was expecting a good steak but to my surprise it was a great steak. I have never had a better steak anywhere honestly.
The people that work there are fantastic. Friendly from start to finish!
The owner actually came out and asked how everything was.
I highly recommend this place if you are ever in the area.

Stopped here on our way home after a beautiful Sunday afternoon visiting Cheaha Park. Cozy atmosphere, love restaurants that were converted from older houses. Everything was super clean. Everyone was super nice and homey. Food came out in a timely manner and was delicious. Our waitress, Heather, was attentive and a joy to interact with. 2 thumbs up! This will be our go-to whenever we’re in the area!

This place is great !! 🙂 the staff are very friendly and so are the owners this place has a bit of everything if you want a salad they have great salads with several options personally I love the steak salad then the appetizers are awesome if you can’t make up your mind just get the sampler and try all your favorite things they have great pasta and the burgers are just as great if you are not into beef they have chicken wings and backed salmon on a bed of rice that comes in several different flavors it’s great 🙂
