I’ve been to Farmhouse Cafe in the past and really enjoyed the food. This time I ordered the Coconut Shrimp…they were served dark brown–not the golden brown deliciousness I was looking forward to. The coconut cream pie was delicious!

Great food and service. You won’t leave here hungry. The cornbread and biscuits were great. We were happy we tried the fried avocado with ranch. Delicious. Fried perfectly! The small chicken fried steak was the perfect size for most. Well balanced seasoning and a crisp crust. No grease present. One of the best CFS I have had. The sides of real mashed potatoes and collard greens were tasty too. I ate it all and hope to go back soon.

Traveling with a service dog, most places have outdoor accommodations including the Farmhouse Café. We seated ourselves outside, which was an error. We had to get attention from a server. Our girl didn’t know what “carrot slaw” was. In fact, she was not very familiar with the menu. Ok, she more than made up for it by being pleasant, smiling brightly and was very attentive. We didn’t mind coaching her, either. Btw- the slaw was salad in our book, and every bit as good as the carrot salad made by our “ancestors”. They used golden raisins & crushed pineapple. Lunch was excellent. We will make a point to return the next time we visit town. Super nice place with little loving touches at every turn. Oh, the cornbread- look out for an explosion of flavors! A savory accompaniment or a fantastic dessert.

Yummy lunch today at the Farmhouse Cafe in Huntsville. When I am up this way, I always come here for their blue plate specials. I got the pork chop today and it was seasoned yum. The bread basket they give you with the broccoli cornbread is the best tasting corn bread I’ve ever had.

We looked in Huntsville for top rated food. The reviews aren’t wrong on this one boys. We sat at the bar, but no bar. Still, the rolls and cornbread make the trip worthwhile all on their own. I ordered the Monte Cristo and it was tasty! Extra crispy and melty. All the things a full monte should be. Then the CFS. Come one man. It’s really good chicken fried steak taters & gravy. The pies looked amazing but my cup runneth over so no sweets this time. May have to come back!!

We are from out of town and just chose the Farmhouse Cafe completely by random. When we got there it was packed at lunch on a weekday so we knew it must be good. The food was fresh and home made and was delicious! Every table was given rolls and cornbread. The cornbread was amazing. I definitely would recommend this restaurant for anyone in the area

We had the special that day which was pot roast. We chose this restaurant because it was dog friendly. Outdoor was very nice. Our waitress was awesome. I don’t know her name but she was excellent, she is a college student, very friendly. We stopped there on our way from Houston to Amarillo.

Found this little place just by chance. Would have marked 5 stars but the service was lacking, they had plenty of waitresses in the place and were very friendly. I sat for a long period of time waiting for a refill of these amazing broccoli cornbread rolls. OMG, hidden under the normal breads, is this amazing broccoli cornbread, and when I say amazing, I don’t typically like cornbread… As far as the meal, I have nothing bad to say, steak used in the 2 entrees we had were seasoned well, and cooked to perfection. The slaw was a good mix of sweet but not too sweet. The fried okra was a bit disappointing, lacked crunch, but seemed to be homemade. The gravy on the country fried steak was great, and the wife ate all of the country fried steak, so it must have been good. I had this Montreal Steak… Like fajita meat with cheese and peppers and onions…. It was really good as well.
