Super excited to try this place.
But my excitement certainly did not last long. I felt awkward.
The person behind the counter just kind of stared at me, I feel like in almost disgust.
The whole interaction just seemed off.
Never been here so I wanted to order food, but I could almost hear the foot tapping as I was looking at the 8 items available.
Got my food and eh, it’s not great!
Also said thank you when retrieving my items only to get no response, just a blank stare.
Needless to say this is listed on a Eugene’s influencers page on places to try but I will definitely be able to give my real review to her.
I have never felt so out of place and super disappointed overall.

Spacious coffee roaster boasting superb coffee and spot-on pastries. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting – the type of place that you could spend hours in with friends or reading a good book. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. I also love the fact that they’re open from 6am-5pm during the week. To put it simply, Farmer’s Union Coffee Roasters is everything that a locally owned coffee roaster should strive to be.

This place seems to be very interested in coffee extraction! Although they have very nice espresso machines, grinders, and even do their own roasting, the taste varies each time due to the lack of a consistent extraction manual. Adjusting the water temperature and controlling the extraction speed before brewing could help maintain a consistent flavor. Despite some shortcomings, the atmosphere is great, and I recommend visiting!”

They have a nice rotation on their drink specials. Good selection of treats and bulk coffee. A little loud atmosphere but still able to keep a conversation. Hard to find a seat. Open till 5pm is nice.

When I moved out of Eugene, I missed Farmer’s Union so much. Every single item on their menu- both food and drinks is never a miss. Lattes, mochas, matcha, chai, the breakfast sandwiches, the yogurt granola fruit compote bowl. The interior of the space is also a beautiful old farmhouse reused as the coffee house. The space is perfect for meeting with a friend, getting work done (fyi there aren’t many tables near electric outlets so try to bring your device charged in advance), or simply chilling and taking in the tastes. Everyone is always so nice, but where in Eugene are people not, lol. Love love love 100/10 recommend.

Cute place, great coffee. What this place doesn’t offer is even decent service or food. Ordered a scone with my coffee it tasted and smelled like fish, really, even people that were with me thought so. Took it back up to the counter to let them know and was rudely told “I’m on the bar, the lines over there.” Tried to just let her know again and quietly so they could save the next person and pull the scones, was the told the same thing like a scolding. Horrible idea to talk to the staff here.

There are a lot of coffee shops and roasters in Eugene. Some of them are good; some of them are great. But none of them reach the level of quality, care, and kindness that Farmer’s Union does.

From their phenomenal fresh roasted beans to the wonderful seasonal beverages (don’t sleep on that Orpington Latte!) to the best breakfast sandwich in town (fight me), there isn’t a negative word I can say about this place.

I don’t even live close to this spot, but I will drive out of the way to grab coffee from then

This was a lovely place to find for breakfast. All food items were outstanding and the coffee was nice. The blackberry scone and biscuit sandwich were the best.

The atmosphere was laid back and welcoming, and the drip coffee contraption was impressive.

This was an incidental (unplanned) stop, because I went to Down to Earth, but they don’t open for 15 minutes. I decided to walk across the parking lot to this hidden gem behind the beautiful greenery planted wall & trees. I loved the energy upon walking in. The patrons are all working away on their laptops, tablets & phones. Others in line waiting to order & others happily enjoying their food. The music plays ever so softly, in order to create a peaceful ambiance, but with a slightly more upbeat tempo music choice. Tons of seating & a serene open lighting of Sun rays coming from the numerous open ceiling windows. This building was originally constructed in 1928, so looking up & seeing a lot of the original parts of the building, was rather quite awesome. They sell fresh handmade pastries, tons of beverages & prepared by Chef’s hot menu items, salads & quality fare. I had the Breakfast Biscuit Sandwich with the Pork Sausage Patty & can only eat half! It’s literally the size of a grapefruit or a pomelo! The flavors going on here with this Sandwich are incredible. I am not truly a Biscuit person, but I would GLADLY just order a biscuit with butter in the future. Thats how delicious this Biscuit is! The Egg patty is hot & moist, the Pork is obviously superior in quality, nothing unneutered here! A just right amount of Kewpie Mayo & a nice thick melty piece of Cheddar Cheese finished this mile high Biscuit’s fantastic presentation. My only 2 things to suggest, are to add a phone number to the Google listing that you can actually speak to a Human Being at & to carry drip Decaf Coffee, especially since they do already carry drip Caffeinated Coffee. There are a lot of folks in the world that cannot consume Caffeine. My reason for being unable to have Caffeine per my Cardiologist, is that I have Heart issues & Caffeine causes them to be worse. So, I asked how much a refill would cost for my Decaf Americano since it was very tasty & I was told they don’t allow refills, only for Caffeinated Drip Coffee & those Refills are $1.00. I will still come try more food from the Menu & I would like to try some of their Pastries, but I will have to get my Decaf elsewhere. ♡

Farmers Union is consistently the best coffee in town (cappuccino is my measure), which is saying a lot in a town with many good Coffee options. Staff is super friendly and competent really into making quality drinks. Outdoor terrace is filled with two-tops and makes a perfect 20-30 minute mid-morning or mid-afternoon break. Food is great too.
