We walked in, were greeted and sat almost immediately. The menu is small, so you already know they’re going to be really good at what they’re producing. They let me swap out the home fries for a fruit cup, which I appreciated. Sometimes fruit can be hit or miss but all of it was fresh and delicious. The seasonal jam was also really good, and it had a tart/sour taste. Services was great, vibe was great, and the food was great.

A farmers market was going on next door, that we decided to hit up afterwards as well.

Liked this place, right by the Farmer’s Market. Order at the counter and you sit at the bar or tables. Was lucky and it wasn’t terribly busy, so got a table. Turkey sausage is good, not a lot of salt, which is what I prefer. The Mill City Breakfast Sandwich was the best thing on the menu. Decent Bloody Mary, needed a bit more spice, so ask for extra spicy. Enjoyed my meal.

My wife and I have been here numerous times and have had a five star experience every time. The food and service is perfect. The food is the exact right portions to feel very full, but the food is always well made and fresh. Menu changes slowly, but the sources of fresh ingredients makes it memorable.

If you worry about price, the restaurant is sourcing from fair trade sources and paying farmers the correct amounts for their labor. Local farmers too. You can really taste that in every meal there.

Please go, there’s nothing else this good in the cities for brunch.

Nice place to chill while you eat & drink. Shared happy hour bbq chicken sliders & jojo’s – really good. We were greeted immediately by a friendly hostess followed by a smiling polite server. Great experience here all around.

I’ve been here maybe 3-4 times and I’ve ordered typically the same thing which is the field hand burger. I cant speak for any other item on their menu but their burgers are amazing! The last time I picked up, I ordered the matcha latte which was absolutely amazing! This restaurant is definitely my go to! The food has always been delicious.

BE AWARE – they add a 20% tip to all bills no matter how many people are in your party. Farmers Kitchen sounds good in concept but it doesn’t live up to what they promise. The restaurant is really small and there isn’t a natural spot where you can “checkin” for your reservation or to get a table. There seems to be a lot of staff but everyone seemed very stressed and rushed. Everyone was very friendly. We did the cheese platter – lots of wheat bread triangles but no crackers or crusty bread. Some of the cheese there was only enough for one person to try. I had the Fern+Dale Sandwich, it was ok. The jam on the bottom made the bread soggy. I also had the wild rice soup with my sandwich, I found that this was really lacking flavor. It was very bland, maybe it’s because I’m used to chicken in it, but I don’t know, I only ate a few spoonfuls. My husband had the short rib sandwich. He said the meat was very good but really heavy on horseradish. He had the jo Jo’s with his sandwich, and those were good. My friend had the grilled cheese with ham. Unfortunately the sandwich was soggy not crispy. My other friend had the schnitzel sandwich, which again she said the pork was good but the sandwich tasted like it was missing something. The chips are corn tortilla chips which were ok. I think it has the potential for being really good but right now it misses the mark. I give people a pass right now because places seem to be short staffed, but we didn’t get a lot of help – I was just drinking water and no one came around to fill until we were almost done eating. They brought our CC slip to sign and no pen. Cost, we had a party of four, the cheese plate and 3 alcoholic drinks – total tab with the 20% tip they added was $166, which for 4 sandwiches and chips seems expensive.

It’s a little confusing how and where to order, but once we got that figured out, I’m very happy we stopped here. The food is so fresh and delicious. The staff didn’t pay much attention to us since we sat ourselves, but I still think this is a 5 star place. I love that they use food sourced from the farmers market.
The craft sodas are hit or miss, probably skip those unless you feel like a splurge.
Easy lunch spot before or after hitting the museum or us bank!

Overall the food was delicious, but they need to rethink their burger.
My wife and I shared the bison/wild rice meatballs which were excellent, not something you can get everywhere. She also enjoyed her salad.
The Waigu burger was very disappointing. I know this kind of beef is more expensive but for $18 they shouldn’t be so cheap as to ask you to pay extra for some lettuce and tomato. Some grilled onions would be a tasty option to round out the burger. Drop the fancy schmancy Waigu and offer a just as good cheaper beef. Maybe offer a bison option.

We actually closed the place down. Sat outside and enjoyed the weather.

Went to this amazing restaurant that I wanted to check out. It’s called the Farmers Kitchen. What I like most is that all of the ingredients are used from local farmer’s supporting the community.

My Review: The peppers and bacon soup was the best. It just needed a little salt and sweet habanero hot sause. Once, I added the hot sauce out was BOMB! The Walleye tater tots were great too. Next, the French 52 drink . Amazing. I was full and couldn’t eat my fried chicken salad, was blah the chicken had no flavor it was just okay. I then ordered caramel brownie, it was just okay. I expected better.

The staff was amazing! I’ll definitely go back again.

A great new spot to try out! All locally grown and produced menu items! we tried the waldorf wild rice salad, a shareable platter with cheese and crackers(!!!!) and had a few different coffee drinks (iced latte, mocha latte and maple cream cold brew!) – overall an excellent spot to try out- we will be back!! also- the presentation 10/10! unfortunately we were already a few bites in before we thought to take some pictures! soon they plan to open for full breakfast and dinner i believe as well! support this up and coming business- you’ll feel extra good knowing you are supporting all local vendors as well! 10/10
