It’s kind of a Cracker Barrel feel. The customer base seemed older and white but everyone is very hospitable. The bathroom are clean. It’s a good place to dine.

I’ve been to this place 2 times now traveling in Tennessee. It’s not bad. Food is pretty good. Service could be better. It seemed like it took forever just to get drinks. It’s also way way way way overly religious place. Even to the point where they play mostly Christian music. As a Wiccan that’s a little annoying but it’s a good buffet.

Possibly the worst service I’ve seen since Covid! The staff is terrible! My server took 5 minutes to even come to my table so I could order a water. Never bothered to even come back and ask if I needed anything much less give me a refill. Servers name was Erica, and she was too busy running outside and gossiping with other employees to care for her customers. I counted the 21 whole people in the entire buffet and she was not the only server. Didn’t even try to pick up my two plates that I was obviously done with. Purposely stacked plates in pile on as many of her tables as she could so she wouldn’t get seated anymore. Also, never gave me my check and heard her complaining that someone walked out, well they probably didn’t want to wait 30 minutes on a check at a buffet! Not saying it’s ok to steal but she was not around and it was very obvious she doesn’t care at all! They advised ribs for lunch, I got there at 1:08 and they had one rib left. Then replaced the tray with dumplings and didn’t even change the sign on the buffet! Actually, most things were not labeled, except the things that are obvious like green beans and corn. The food was terrible, service is terrible, the restaurant is so dirty and needs some money put back into it! The women’s bathrooms had no toilet paper in it and is disgusting! I’m so disappointed and can’t believe how bad this place has gotten. I haven’t been in years but had always liked it, but it’s horrid now! Save yourself some money and eat elsewhere. It’s about the same price as everywhere else and maybe you’ll at least get a refill or check! I really hope the owner reads this! What happened to your restaurant you used to have pride in?

My wife and I love Farmers, great food, lovely atmosphere. Our go-to restaurant for American home cooking

There is always Christian music playing, servers are friendly, food is great, desserts aren’t too sweet (delicious and I don’t feel like I’m getting diabetes from 1 bite), price is reasonable.

Personal favorites: meatloaf, fried chicken, pulled pork, carrots, sweet potatoes, greens

Not favorites: the ribs are tough, would be better if cooked longer

Went on a sunday and it was nice that dinner was $15.99 which was nice cause most places change the price when dinner starts. The pork chops were good and the green beans were good to. The cooked shrimp was a bit over cooked but I did like the cajon style. Still sad no chocolate ice cream. The places looked like it had a grill station but it was not open so dont no if its good or not. I was shocked that dr. pepper was a drink cause most buffets dont have that.

Stopped by on our way home tonight and it hit the spot for Southern comfort food. Our waitress was sweet and very friendly. I enjoyed the food and service. Good atmosphere for families and plenty of space.

Always packed sometimes not as much but there is always alot of people there when we go. My boyfriend and I have been together for a year and a half so we decided to for thanksgiving make a new tradition to come here for Thanksgiving every year. It was also his dads favorite place to eat so to honor him since he has passed away it just made sense this be our spot to celebrate thanksgiving every year. I said thanksgivjng like four times in 2 sentences haha!! We wanted to keep the holiday spirit alive since the world has gotten to the point every holiday and birthday are just another day from going broke balancing bills and buying groceries which we all know cost more than any of us have to give. These few years everyone has had to rob peter to pay Paul and peter gotta be ready to crash out! My bad anyway we love this place and highly recommend it! Just remember dinner starts at 5 or very shortly after! Oh and the breakfast is to die for! We like the lunch too but breakfast and dinner are our fav!! Thank you family farmers for staying open and staying an amazing place to come and celebrate new and old traditions.and feeding our faces in the process. Keep up the great work and donf you dare go out of business on us! I’m sure you won’t tho jjk

I am an entertainer and on my trip to Murfreesboro I always stop in at Farmers. It was 11 years ago my little girl was born and I was overwhelmed with emotion because my little girl was with her mom celebrating her 11th birthday. I had just finished a video call with Charlee Grace and had my head in my hands when my server Ms Nikki came over and gently placed her hand on my shoulder, saying, “I just felt you needed that”. I tell this story because one thing has been consistent, the servers are down home people and genuinely care for the customer. The songs playing in the background may not be noticed by everyone but I noticed… Songs of faith and encouragement.
As for the food… Country cooking, collard greens, cabbage, Mac n cheese, fried chicken, seafood delight, baked fish…. Basically something for everybody.
I visit Murfreesboro a couple times a year and Farmers is my lunch go to. I suggest you give them a chance.

We, a part of 4 adults and 3 children went yesterday at supper time. We all had the buffet and 2 also had the added 3lb crab legs. Most of the food was very good. The crab legs were way over steamed, the pulled pork was very spicy and the gator bites were very tough. We will definitely return to try it again though.

Food was really good the service was a bit lacking. The hostess who set us, actually never greeted us just grabbed menus and gestures to follow, also did not say anything at this time just put the silverware down. There was a waitress who happened to be helping another table who took our drink order, and as first timers we weren’t really sure if we were ready to go to the bar or needed to wait and say as much. The food was excellent and carried the wait of the visit. While the service was a bit disappointing, the food, price, and subtle quiet atmosphere was good enough to warrant another trip in the future.
