Farmer Boys is famous for farm-to-table burgers, breakfast, salads, and more. Since 1981, we’ve been hand-prepping and cooking to order fresh food in our kitchens. Farmer Boys purchases the freshest ingredients locally, whenever possible. It is embodied in our mascot and head of security, The Scarecrow, whose mission is to protect and serve farm fresh food. Each and every team member across our expansive family of restaurants believes that the freshness and quality of the ingredients our guests are served is at the core of our success. This attention to excellence extends to our friendly table and to-go service, and our fast and easy drive-thru.
Counter-serve chain for made-to-order burgers & breakfast items, many made with local ingredients.

Customer Service & Communication Concern – Van Buren Riverside (2/10/2026 at 7:17 PM)
I am writing regarding my drive-through experience at the Farmer Boys location on Van Buren Blvd in Riverside on February 10, 2026 at approximately 7:17 PM.
I ordered a kids meal, a double patty box, and a single patty box. At the payment window, the employee (Wendy) informed me that I did not order three meals. I explained that I needed three fries. Wendy said she would speak to the manager and made me wait for an extended period of time.
When she returned, she handed me my food without clearly communicating whether the request had been approved or denied. Because no clear answer was given, I reasonably assumed the matter had been resolved.
When I arrived home, there were only two fries. One of my children did not receive any fries and was upset. If I had clearly been told the answer was no, I would have gladly paid for an additional order at the window. However, due to the lack of communication after making me wait, I was not given that option.
I called the store and spoke with the manager, Blanca. She stated that since there were not three meals ordered, nothing could be done because of policy. I explained that my concern was not the policy itself, but the lack of communication and the fact that I was made to wait without being told the final decision. Even after explaining that one of my children was upset, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience.
This was not about the price of fries. It was about poor communication and lack of customer care — especially toward families using the drive-through.
Drive-through customers should be clearly informed of decisions before leaving the window so they can make informed choices.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously.
I ordered the 3 egg special with crispy bacon to give them another try.
I received 2 eggs with floppy bacon.
There is no excitement or store pride in the employees that I can see.
My receipt shows the three egg special but only two eggs placed on my order.
It was a single plate order so it couldn’t have been for anybody else.
Update: My wife was there separately and I told her about this so she went and talked to the manager and the manager told her we were wrong and argued with her saying the coupon (even though it showed three eggs and the receipt said three egg) was wrong.
Apparently his parting comment was oh fine I’ll give you an egg.
Like I said lackluster service.
I’ll typically go to a mom and pop shop any day first.
The quality of their Ingredients has gone way downhill, while prices go up and they’re coupons suck now too. At one visit I even received a burger that had some sort of brown paper mixed into the meat, That should’ve been the last time we went. Glutton for punishment I suppose. Too bad their food used to be so tasty. Now it’s just way too expensive t To spend the rest the day worrying if you’re going to get sick with food poisoning. We definitely won’t be going back.
