Stupendously-delicious donuts. Eggy, fluffy, deceptively-light, so fresh. Best bites we had on our trip to Vermont. I’m not even a big donut fan, and I sat here and vacuumed, mouth-wide, three donuts with my husband and we couldn’t decide which were our favorites! Loved everything we got – the apple crumb, lemon-coconut, maple. Delicious French onion focaccia, but the draw is these donuts. A major reason to come to Woodstock! This place will, no doubt, continue to thrive.

We were recommended this stop by a store owner in town and we were not disappointed !
The exterior building, grounds, and parking lot were well kept. Upon entering, the interior atmosphere was very nicely done, clean and bright.
Staff was friendly and everything on offer looked like something you’d want to take home. We settled on a sausage & egg breakfast pastry, a mushroom breakfast pastry, and (4) donuts for later (i.e. pumpkin, maple, blueberry, and apple).
The pastries were really, really good. They looked like something you would find on a magazine cover and tasted even better. Flaky with perfectly prepared fillings.
We ended up trying (2) donuts after dinner tonight, pumpkin and maple. Again, beautiful to look at which is weird to say about a donut. They tasted just as good. The krueller donut was airy, spongy, and moist while the toppings for each were excellent.
I cant recommend this establishment enough. Im glad I dont live closer, as Id be here all the time. You should stop.

My, what a lovely place! I drove from Lebanon just to try it and I was pleasantly surprised in every aspect. I expected a run-of-the-mill homemade doughnut and pastries, however the food quality exceeded my expectations by being some of the best I have ever eaten. Perhaps THE best doughnut I’ve ever had. The inside is beautiful (special thanks to Geo Barns), there is two floors of dining including a nice screen porch (photo). The counter staff is pleasent and knowledgeable, I’m truly impressed! I’m definitely going back!

I think these donuts are the very best I’ve ever tasted. Seriously. They also keep well, as they’re just as good straight out of the fridge the day after. Space and general vibe are fab as well. Buyer procedure could be greatly improved though with self serve donuts and especially brewed coffee. Oh, and speaking of, this is Vermont people. We like STRONG, BOLD, CUT IT WITH A KNIFE AND FORK DARK ROAST, coffee that’s worthy of these amazing donuts. Otherwise, fabulous new addition to the Woodstock culinary community.

The donuts are delicious, love the variety of flavors. And it’s not just donuts, they have some focaccia and other pastries as well. Around lunch they have amazing looking sandwiches. The only negative thing I have to say is there was and is always a line and the space for the line was not thought out very well, the line blocks the door.

Truly the best dessert I’ve ever had in my life. The donuts are beautiful to look at, and taste even better. Absolutely delicious. If there’s a line in the shop, it’s because the wait is 100% worth it. The shop inside is adorable too. Thanks for bringing these treats to Woodstock!

Farmer and the bell has the best doughnuts and focaccia ever! The atmosphere is beautiful and cool. The staff is very kind, and the service is quick. I love how you can watch them make the doughnuts , it adds to the experience. My parents love the savory focaccia options. Our favorite doughnut is the lemon coconut but they are all fantastic. Haven’t had a bad one yet (we’ve tried almost all of them). I highly recommend farmer and the bell.

But it was New Year’s Day, options were limited, but I’m so grateful Farmer & The Bell was open, because this experience has changed my life, and here’s why. If you lined up a dozen donuts in front of me, I would have never chosen a French cruller. But one bite into the double chocolate donut, I instantly knew it the #1best donut I’ve ever had. And I don’t say that lightly—I’m a self-proclaimed foodie with very high standards.
My wife and I loved it so much that we went back into the like and ordered a dozen more to bring all the way back to Connecticut for friends and family.
April immediately stood out behind the counter. She greeted every customer with a huge smile and true New Year’s cheer, radiating gratitude and positivity. What impressed me most was watching her greet regulars by name—especially impressive considering they’ve only been in their permanent location for a couple months.
Even with the long line, everyone was friendly and upbeat. When it was our turn, we never felt rushed. In fact, they took the time for genuine small talk, which made the experience even better.

I’m not usually a big review writer, but when a small business is this good, I feel morally obligated to shout about it from the rooftops. Farmer & The Bell in Woodstock is that place. I’ve been a business owner myself, and I know how hard it is to get everything right, they absolutely nailed it. We were visiting from California and our B&B host recommended it, we loved it so much we went back every single day we were in town. Yes, there’s sometimes a line, but lines don’t lie, it’s when you know it’s 100% worth the wait, always trust a line. The space is bright, airy, thoughtful, and just feels good to be in. The donuts are fluffy, spongy, melt-in-your-mouth magic, I want to bathe in them. I’m obsessed. I had the olive and rosemary focaccia, I’m very picky about focaccia, and this was 10/10 best I’ve ever had. What really stood out to our family was how friendly and welcoming everyone was, warm smiles and easy conversation. April, the owner, took the time to chat with us, ask us where we were from, and knew us by name by the time we left. Bravo April and team, bravo!
