If I am not mistaken, one of the pre-meal things brought to the table was potted meat. I was quite surprised at that, and the taste of the cheese it was served with. Atmosphere was very nice but the steak didn’t quite live up to my expectations. The little piggy at the checkout was absolutely ADORABLE!!

It was a very cute farm setting dim lights, very quiet romantic feel. But unfortunately the 3 different steaks we got were all pretty flavorless. Had to add butter and salt. No kids meals, the food was served on skillets so my steak continued to cook and started to get dry never having time to rest. not many options for my toddler. So she just ate a salad. The server was very nice. The Farmhouse pie was interesting for sure.

This is definitely a great find. My wife and I found this place around 3 years ago when coming up to visit UNC basketball. It’s very quaint and southern and the setting of it all is so romantic. It’s nestled off the road down a gravel driveway. Dimmed lights and old school oil lamps will light everything including your dining table. Run by a local family who still works everyday at the restaurant. Price is reasonable to everything else in the area and the food is always amazing. I usually get the Ribeye steak with baked potato. This is what a southern style restaurant experience should be. This is my wife and I secret date place away from home. Go try them sometime. You won’t be disappointed.

Love everything about this hidden gem on the outskirts of town. Old school vibe down to the decor and incl a complimentary relish tray with chicken pate, pub cheese, veggies and crackers. Low lighting if you want a romantic dinner spot.

My friend recommended one of her favorite restaurants, Farm House to have supper nestled in Chapel Hill. The staff is professional, super friendly and attentive. Jean is amazing! I’m happy we got there before it got busy because we got a good chat in. The ambiance is relaxed, inviting, and comfortable as you feel right at home. I had salad, rib eye (it was flavorful and perfect…my compliments to the Chef), baked potato and it was so delicious! Of course, I had their homemade sweet tea, as any self righteous, Southerner would get. LOL As always, I couldn’t finish it all. So brought the rest home. I’ll let the pics speak for how amazing the food is (looks virtually) and how popular this place is because I took pics of the parking lot and it’s overflow lot. People come because of it’s southern hospitality and delicious cuisine!

If you like really good steaks at a reasonable price, with no nonsense this is the place for you. Steak was probably one of the better end of resturant steaks. Sides include potatoes with all the toppings you could want, salad, and some veggies, pate, and crackers as appetizer.

Wow we were so happy to find The Farmhouse, by the time we drove down the long gravel driveway to this neat building tucked away we knew we’re were going to like it. They did not disappoint steak tuna potatoes liver pate cheese all was incredible. The swanky ambiance made it all the better. Our new favorite ❤️
