Great little gem in Mt. Vernon. Fresh made, from scratch baked goods. Excellent breakfast. They also have a lunch menu that’s yummy. Wide selection of iced coffee, bubble teas, smoothies made to order. The local Amish and Mennonite communities have goods for sale so it’s a convenient place to get all your traditional deliciousness. The bakery cabinets are always full of sticky, gooey goodness hot from the oven. Giant cinnamon rolls, turnovers, sticky buns, donuts and pies to die for.

Hands down the BEST breakfast. You can tell it was cooked with care and passion. Biscuits and gravy I don’t normally flock to, but goodness was this perfect in every way.
The bubble tea was great!
Nothing better than supporting your local goods store with local made items!

The new place is gorgeous! Quaint seating area, and plenty of room for their displays! Even a new feature- drive thru window!
Remember to have patience with the staff. They are absolutely lovely, and every meal is cooked and made with love and care. Not some fast food place. Its a place you can sit down and really enjoy your breakfast/food.
New pictures added! Menu is always subject to change!

Fantastic stop!! The wife and I checked this place out on our road trip and we are glad we did. The donuts are super good. Great texture and not overly sweet. We also got deli meat, cheese, and a loaf of bread to make sandwiches. Man that bread was good. I recommend this place 100%

I don’t enjoy reviewing a place like this. It was probably a really nice place at one time. But it’s old, the carpeting was disgusting. The booths are all tore up. The place was dirty. We ordered Panini sandwiches, mine was Cajun Turkey, and my wife ordered Mozzarella and tomato, Panini. The mozzarella and tomato was basically not much. My Cajun Turkey sandwich didn’t have much Cajun. The French fries are literally laying in a puddle of grease in the basket. We did buy a cinnamon roll and some chocolate covered peanuts. The Cinnamon roll was really outstanding. We really enjoyed it. The place needs a complete reboot, remodel. If my review has been helpful, please give me a thumbs up.

Food was very good. Taste and presentation wonderful. Service was excellent. Had the 5 Grilled Cheese Sandwich with ham plus Coleslaw. Also, the Yankee Pot Roast. Dessert Pecan Pie and Chocolate Cream Pie. Delicious. I’ll be visiting them again when I go to LaConner.

The egg, ham and english muffin were great. The hash browns weren’t to my liking since I prefer a crispy style. The follow up pancake was pretty blasted good. Solid coffee too.
Selection of jams and honeys available to purchase. Check the place out.

I have been coming to this establishment for years. Usually I love it. I went today and it’s an entirely different place almost. The staff was not inviting and seemed inconvenienced that we had come for lunch during lunch. There were only 2 tables seated during this time so it wasn’t a rush or anything. We sat in the back in this beat up booth that overlooks the overflowing grease bin, barbwire fenced in AC and random car doors. Truly a wild sight to see. The booth itself is a caution to sit in. Best to sit on the support beam or you will fall into the seat a few inches.
I ordered a creamy mushroom soup. It came with these weird balls of flour in it. Im not sure if these were supposed to be dumplings or what, but I felt like someone added flour to thicken it and left it in clumps. It was very bland and a little sweet which was strange. My friend received a tomato and mozzarella panini, the thing was dripping wet
The entire place just felt dirty. We couldn’t get water to dispense that wasn’t pink because it’s shared with a Gatorade at the fountain. After a few unsavory bites, we just left.
Upon leaving I noticed their letterboard said:

This should’ve been the first sign that this place had changed because what in the heck does that sign even mean. I see you?? For a good year??
0/10.
This is NOT the farmhouse standards I recall in the years past. I am only posting this review because after a little bit, I had the runs and felt awful. I can’t say it’s food poisoning but something ain’t right about it.
