The food tasted great and the service was good. Only giving 4 stars because sides were pretty cold. Too bad the prices are so high otherwise we would be regulars. Definitely worth trying though! Very good food like grandma makes.

EDIT: Went back to new Nixa location, new menu is fantastic, food and service still great. Owner Stephanie stopped by every table to check in. Great restaurant in our regular rotation!
Valentine’s dinner was our first visit and it was a great first impression. They had a special menu for the occasion, and all reservations got a red rose and chocolate covered strawberries. We had reservations for 2 adults and 2 kids, took us to our table 10 minutes ahead of reservation time. The waitress was very friendly and visited our table often for refills and to check in. Highly recommend the spinach artichoke dip appetizer, and another plus is they serve both Coke and Pepsi products! Steaks were tender and our kids both enjoyed their Little Farmer choices, Mac n Cheese and Cheese Pizza. Tons of homemade dessert options. Will be back again for sure!

I am glad to say we were not disappointed, the food was excellent along with the service, and the fresh baked warm bread up front, and hot homaid cookies for dessert was the perfect start and finish for us tonight. We have been meaning to check this place out and just getting in on the tail end of the restaurant as my understanding is it is closing. I got the chicken fried chicken with real mashed potatoes with white gravy and bacon onion brussel sprouts. Everything I had was excellent, I would have liked a bit more flavor as it was a tad bland but still it was hot, fresh and tasty. The only reason I gave a 4 star is because my wife’s spaghetti was very meh, sauce was not flavourful and little use of herbs. Wait staff was good but not over the top by any means. I would give them another go if they were staying open. So hurry to Nixa and check them out, get the yummy chicken fried chicken!

Update on 8/4/20 for another trip in on 8/1/20:
I got the chicken bacon club wrap. The taste was very fresh, my only complaint would be that I’m not sure if they accidentally heated the tortilla up too long or if it was too old but it was very hard. However, I got the chefs veggies again and this time, WOW! They were perfectly seasoned and cooked. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich which comes on their house made bread I believe, he said the bread was excellent and the pulled pork was good. Excellent homemade shoestring style fries! And of course, we got more desserts. We’ve had the strawberry shortcake cake, this blueberry lemon type cake, shortcake cupcakes with vanilla frosting and their brownies as well. Absolutely none of it has been a let down. We will continue coming back!
My husband and I visited this restaurant this last weekend (7/19/20) around 4:30/5pm. Perfect time and day to go (for us) because there wasn’t many people. However, I’m shocked that there wasn’t many people because of how unbelievably fresh and delicious this food is. The pictures just show you how good it looks. It tastes just as awesome as it looks. After we ordered we were given bread and butter to eat, our appetizer BBQ boneless chicken came with around 15 VERY decent sized pieces and was so incredibly juicy. My husband devoured his country fried steak and potatoes and beans and my buffalo chicken sandwich was so huge I couldn’t finish it all. It was just as delicious heated up the next day! Unfortunately, I didn’t get any pictures of the sweets we bought because we devoured them haha! Since we don’t live in Nixa, we bought quite a few to take home to get a variety to try. We got the chocolate chip cookie, macadamia nut cookie, carrot cake, cherry pie and a chocolate and peanut butter cake. ALLLLLL of it was gone in 2 days. We are SO EXCITED to come back here again. We’re probably going to swing by tomorrow for baked goods lol! Outstanding local farm to table food. Our service was excellent. I would also like to note that because they make things fresh, make sure you show up early enough to give them about 30 minutes. Dont come already hangry. This will not dissuade us from coming back as we are willing to patiently wait for awesome food.

Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was exceptional! The steak was cooked to perfection and did not need any sauce. The french dip sandwich is huge, with a great serving size of perfectly cooked and seasoned home made fries.

I stopped in for a late lunch today and, wow!! One of three specials today is the Cuban sandwich and this is amazing! Not only does it beat any other Cuban that I’ve had before, but the fresh cut thin fries came out super hot and perfectly salted. Definitely come and try this place out.

So happy to see this restaurant again! We used to go to the one down on 65 and missed it. Now they are right in Nixa – that’s great news! The food is delicious, the baked goods are sinful, and you absolutely will not leave hungry.
