First time visiting for a quick breakfast.

I liked the place very much, and my wife as well.

Very clean and nice looking place for a farm.

My fried chicken sandwich was very good. Not salty, and fresh tomatoes and lettuce.

My wife likes the bacon, eggs and cheese sandwich (breakfast sandwich) a lot.

Prices are acceptable and people are friendly.

We can walk around the property and see the chickens. Also, the green area and farm life.

Breathing the quiet nature and breeze is so nice that you may think you are in PA.

I definitely recommend it.

I’ll be back.

Farm burger, I’m stuffed. It’s good and huge.

Alternative options available, like pot pie, desserts, etc.

Eat indoors, or under the umbrella of their tables outdoors. If the weather is right, I’d pick outdoor eating.

Plentiful parking.

Friendly staff. They also brought our ordered food outside once it was ready.

The Farm burger was the best! We had it with cheese & bacon added. The fries & onion rings were good as well. Prices were reasonable. Love the old country styled intetiors. ✨️

Driving by this Cafe many times, and finally we saw the sign saying fresh eggs/local honey and decided to stop by. We tried their chicken pot pie and lentil soup. They heated up the food and gave us two paper plates and utensils to be used inside the cafe. The place was very clean and the food was good. Highly recommended to everyone who like to eat farm-to-table meals to give it a try.

Got 2 “bacon” egg and cheese, fries, a lemonade and coffee $27. Roll was nice and soft, eggs tasted fresh, but, bacon was sparse and was definitely microwave bacon, very thin, and two tiny strips per sandwich. Coffee was good, but my son said lemonade could have used more lemon flavor. Fries were frozen seasoned. Wanted to love it. Atmosphere was nice.

The ‘Farm Burger’ is just a Bubba’s Frozen Burger from any grocery store. If the owner of the Farm Cafe is reading this, your burgers would be a lot tastier if you used fresh ground beef instead of frozen patties. Please sample a burger from the Yard House and compare it with yours for flavor and you will see what I mean… Also, check out iHOP.. Yes, iHOP actually has amazing and delicious burgers that come with great french fries for $8! (Drink is a separate price).. but add a drink and the total bill comes to less than $12! Much better deal for much fresher and more delicious food.

Back to the review… Nice local business, good burgers good fries, nice atmosphere, historic location, fun place to eat, super friendly employees. …But way overpriced, should be $9 for burger fries and drink, not $15 for burger and fries (no drink).

While waiting for your meal you can view and read about some of the history of Closter and NJ from the Revolutionary war including the Closter Horseman who saved Washingtons army from the British.

Farm burger appears to be a normal frozen patty from the grocery store since it has a very unique and well known patty shape with sharp edges and meat was hard packed. It’s Bubba’s Frozen Burger patties! Take a look online or buy some from the grocery store and you will instantly recognize the patty shape frozen and cooked. This resulted in an ok flavor but the meat was dry, tough from being compacted, and left a dry texture in my mouth. Not juicy at all. The fries are good, not amazing. They are short stick fries, slightly thicker than regular fast food fries but with the same seasoning as twister fries. Red Robin burgers are still the best and their steak fries are also the best too.

Pricing is too high at roughly $15 per person for a burger and fries and no drink. Would be better if they had a meal combo including burger, fries and drink at a cheaper price around $10.

In October you can pick your own pumpkins in their large pumpkin patch.

Lots of fresh made desserts and good drink selection too.

They harvest fresh honey here.

Parking is free and plenty since it’s never too busy. It is unpaved and just loose rock fill, so drive slow to avoid kicking up pebbles that may scratch your car paint.

Excellent local food!! Highly recommend the farm burger, you’ll return for more. They also sell local eggs, pies & honey , homemade soups & cookies, old school soda pop, and seasonal items such as fresh picked flowers or pumpkins. This is a small business everyone should support, they have something for everyone. After eating you can feed the chickens in the back, good outing for family.

i dont know who is trying to excuse this mystery meat for chicken, but it tasted like a dish sponge and feels basically inedible.

It’s got great breakfast sandwiches and one of the best burgers around. The lemonade is amazing too. I also have grabbed a pie and coffee if I wasn’t up for a full meal.

Anytime I’m treasure hunting up this way I plan my meals around this place. There’s always a yard sale going on in the surrounding neighborhoods, (typically in the morning) across the street is a great antique market, and down the street is the habitat for humanity restore, and around the corner of that is a thrift store that supports cats.

I went here for lunch with my little girl after her camp. I ordered the 8oz “Farm Burger” and my daughter Mac and cheese and side of fries. The burger is not homemade. Most likely frozen. Mac and cheese was ok. Fries was very good.
