As far as the service, I ran out of water to it three times, food was brought to the table while all of the menus were still on the table. It was very cluttered. He did spill wine on my appetizer plate which isn’t a big deal. It was more the fact that I ran out of water and it felt like we had long periods of time where we didn’t see our waiter.
I will not go back.
Appetizer: Butternut Bruchetta
This was absolutely delicious. The squash and apple chutney was nice and sweet. The ricotta was creamy and gave the savory taste. Combined with the crispy bread, this was an excellent flavor profile. The bresh basil ontop was a great touch. We would rate this a 9/10
Entree: Homemade Ravioli
I questioned if this was made in house, and they stated that it was, with locally farmed ingredients from a local girl. The bolognese was flavorful, with meat, veggies and tomato base. The pasta itself was a nice thickness, and perfectly cooked to aldante. 10/10
Dessert: Teramisu
Soft, creamy, spongy with the perfect amount of coffee taste. Nothing more to say, this was perfect. Topped with strawberries that were fresh. 10/10
Staff was kind, warm and informative! Atmosphere was great. Looking forward to coming back again soon!!
Buon appetito!
Alot of great Italian options on the menu to choose from. They definitely focus more on the cooking, ingredients, flavor and quality. Many authentic dishes to choose from.
Healthy portion sizes and depending on what you get prior to main entrees you can always bring it home.
We did Pizza (cheese and a cheese/pepperoni)and salads as appetizers and then to main entrees. Worked great for our larger party.
From antipasto, salads, fish, meat, pastas you will certainly have great classic Italian options.
Atmosphere is excellent. Nicely done inside. Great for family, couples or dates etc.. Just the right amount of lighting, clean, nice decor, updated and they offer various style and settings of nice seating tables and a more sectioned off room for larger parties. Not a noisy place.
Drinks. A limited wine list which is enough and popular style drinks. Order away!
Price: Decent portion sizes, not to bad for what you get. A more authentic flavor, better quality food, worth the price.
Chicken and pasta lovers.
If you interested in a pasta and chicken entree style, try the Tuscan Pasta Chicken entree, it is awesome!!
(There are many to choose from, just something I really like)
Fish
Salmon was great. (Someone in our party got it and loved it)
Definitely frequent Farina. One of the best out there.
Gluten free options: pasta, grilled chicken, Salads
Overall; “Mangia”
Great choice for great food.
Head over and enjoy…certainly worth it! Great people, great food, great place. Great pizzas!! Grab one to go!
Cya there!
The atmosphere was good. Warm decor, with a couple of good photo-op areas, but not over the top, which I appreciate! You can tell they have a great local following. And it came across as a really nice family neighborhood restaurant. From people having a pizza with their children to “girls night out” gatherings.
I was dining with my sister (former owner of NYPD Pizza – Italian restaurants) and she found the food to be exceptional.
5/5- Peppers stuffed with goat cheese . These are made with nothing being spared they included raisins! I would say Farina wins, hands down on this appetizer. There is no rival that compares. It was delicious and I can’t wait to return and have it again.
4/5- Beet salad, which was good. It had both golden and red beets, goat cheese, and arugula. But I felt like there was a little too much salt. However, in their defense, I have found that cheese can add salt even if the Chef does not.
5/5- Gnocchi stuffed with Asiago cheese. This dish was so delicious. I brought the rest home and I don’t typically do that.
5/5- Gnocchi with braised ribs. Perfectly cooked and a perfect piece of meat (some places tend to do more of a ratio toward the fat!). Clearly, Farina knows the importance of a good choice of meat.
