The food was good and we were seated right away, but not worth the one hour wait for our main dishes to come out. Would not recommend if you’re in a hurry. Flat bread, butter and onions are provided for the table.
I recommend ordering take out or delivery. I thought the beef kebab was the best item. Chicken boneless and the ground meat options were good too but again, not worth the wait.
The iced tea lacks flavor but it is free refills served from large mason jar. Soda is served from a can.
The inside is dark and did not have a pleasant smell. My companion said it smelled like poo, unfortunately.
There was only one server and while they were good-natured, they definitely need more helping hands.

The restaurant is nothing special. It’s downtown LA; as you can imagine, downtown LA is not really clean and not parking-friendly. There is a lot of parking around the place, but you need to budget $20 for parking when eating there. The food is pretty standard, and you’re only getting good kebabs, but what made me not give them three stars and instead give them four stars was the kabob Kobideh—it was really great and juicy. That part even made it so this place could be five stars, and I ignored everything about the location and parking. The kebab Barg was cold. Overall, a good experience; it could be much better if they could serve the food 100 percent warm. The rice and kobedeh were at the right temperature, but the chicken and steak kebabs were cold.

Their chicken and rice was “Delicious!” Walking distance from the DTLA jewelry district and overall a little slice of heaven to take a break from shopping! I ate it so fast that I didn’t take photos of the food! Best PERSIAN FOOD I’ve had in 10+ years!

Great Koobideh! Probably the best I have had in LA and OC area! Definitely try their Koobideh and their mast o khiyar. Their prices are very good and the location is also very unique in the middle of the downtown LA. I would highly recommend Farid Restaurant, especially for the travelers!

The way salmon is cooked is a delicacy here. One of the best places around town for grilled salmon. If you’re looking for halal only food, you could try both the options of salmon and the lamb shank is halal as well.

Been coming here for almost 20 years its the best, small and cozy, delicious and amazing portion size, always fresh and friendly service i usually get the barg but opted for the salmon this time the chicken is also juicy and yummy! Honestly everything here tastes amazing. It’s my little hidden gem tucked away in the jewelry industry but always 11/10

I’m not usually a fan of eating Persian food out (since my mom’s home cooked meals are the best!) but this was really good. The barg and the chicken dishes were

Delicious meal! I had the Gheimeh Bademjan. The eggplant was delicious and buttery and the beal was very tender. The stew was flavorful and the dried lime gives a nice mild citrusy numbness. The staff was kind and the atmosphere was great.
