Regardless of that, upon arrival, the hostess did not greet us, told us to wait until she “could find a table” very rudely. Once seated in a very crammed covered outdoor area I got wet from the seat and splashing of rainwater dripping in from holes in the cover. All a while, a tall outdoor heater lamp blazing heat to one side of my face. Quite the combination.
The menu was long but it didn’t have the best mesh of ingredients for Italian cuisine or more commonly found traditional dishes I’d hoped for. I eventually settled for the Chicken Marsala and my fiancé got some sort of mushroom risotto. The marsala was okay, but the risotto was terrible. The food was on par or even a step below Olive Garden, yet priced more expensively. I will say the servers that brought the food and drinks were great and attentive vs our main waiter that didn’t do much than take down our order.
The ‘Italian Sangria’ was a very watered down version of red wine.
The Caprese salad was good.
Overall very disappointed in the food, atmosphere, and what was to be a special reservation and evening turned out to be noting but a random table with overpriced, very flavorless food, noisy, and complete washout, literally!
I recommend having a nice rosé wine with the meal and the blueberry cake and espresso for dessert. I do not recommend the tiramisu because until just recently they didn’t even used to offer it and I don’t believe it’s made in house and I only like homemade food.
But I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. It is the gem. It is the star of this entire Westlake location.
Today my husband and I came for a late lunch. The service was a little slow. But, the food??? Outstanding.
My husband had a chicken / mushroom dish, I had the salmon salsa dish. Amazing. Melt in your mouth. We ended with the decadent tiramisu and cappuccinos! Mind-blowing!!! Besides slow service, wow – so worth it!!!
Prices on their website are not what they are in person.
Yup! We looked up their menu online and went for a romantic meal. At the end we asked the server why the prices were different. He immediately got rude and defensive.
He said “next time you have to pay full price.” Huh??? He was super rude about it. Then he continued to get defensive on why it was ok to charge more.
This wasn’t an accident. They are aware. All 3 items we ordered the prices were wrong. Waiter said prices increased months ago. They didn’t apologize and offer to change it but instead got mad at me for mentioning it.
Server also never checked on us the entire meal! We were finished eating before he talked to us. He neglected us.
Food was good. Service was rude. Quality of the business is sketchy. Stay away.
The staff is always welcoming, attentive, and helpful. The food is always fresh and flavorful. The place is dimly lit which is always nice for dinner time. Wine pairings are always suggested depending on what you order and those pairings never fail The desserts are also scrumptious along with the Moscato they pair it with. The cocktails are also delicious and pair well with dinner instead of the wine.
Definitely one of our favorite date-night spots!
I highly recommend this place!
We tried the following
1 Gnocchi Pesto Genovese
1 Penne Norma
1 Pennette Santino
1 Ravioli Di Ricotta
1 PZ Vegetariana
When we come back to USA next time hopefully we get to visit you guys again.
