Farfalla is the perfect spot for a girls night! They have weekday happy hour from 5-7pm with the most delicious $5 appetizers you’ve ever had. We tried the entire happy hour menu and nothing missed. You will be happy and full leaving, trust me.

We celebrated two birthdays at Farfalla recently and it was excellent. It was mid-week and the restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived. At first glance the food looked pricey. So, I wasn’t sure how this experience would end up. But, I was extremely happy. The service was very prompt and the server was courteous and did a great job. The kitchen was fast. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were really large. Once I saw the portion I realized the value was really good, because I was going to get two good sized meals from a single plate. We had four in our group and everyone really enjoyed their meal choice. The wine list is pretty sizable too. Go here! Enjoy! You won’t regret it.

Five stars.
No… that’s insufficient.
Five stars does not capture the experience of walking into Farfalla, just off 3rd Street in Wilmington, North Carolina — where the air itself seems to whisper, “You have made… the right decision.”
The lighting? Warm. Inviting. Like a gentle tractor beam pulling you toward comfort. The aroma? Garlic… basil… tomatoes simmering with purpose. Not merely food. Not merely dinner. An event.
I ordered the pasta bolognese — because when one is at a place called Farfalla, one must trust the butterfly. And let me tell you… it soared. Perfectly al dente. Each bite a small revelation. Sauce that clung — not desperately — but lovingly. As though it understood its role in the grand design of flavor.
And the service.
Attentive. Precise. Arriving at the table not a moment too soon… not a second too late. Like a well-timed warp jump.
There is sincerity here. Craft. Pride. This is not a restaurant that merely serves food. It delivers joy… plated.
If you find yourself anywhere near 3rd Street — do not hesitate. Do not delay. Engage.
Five stars.
Boldly delicious.

This intimate restaurant setting has small tables that enable quiet conversations within your party.
Our server politely introduced himself and helped us choose a wine. We all hade something different so we could all taste. My favorite was the gnocchi!!! Light, fluffy, aired bites of heaven in a rich, buttery cream sauce!!! Unfortunately that was what my son ordered so I only got a couple small bites. lol.
My pasta dish was delicious. You can really taste the difference when the pasta is made fresh.
All in all it was a wonderful experience.

Absolutely incredible food! From start to finish the entire experience was romantic, delicious and fun!
The chef has magic in his hands and treated us like family. If you’re looking for a quaint quiet Italian with big portions and superb flavors look no further than Farfalla.
Overall 10/10

This was our 2nd time visiting and they knocked out of the park again. Last night we had the Artichoke, Risotto, Olive Oil Poached Halibut, and the Pistachio Gelato with the most amazing donut. Every item we ordered was SO delicious. Chef Dan is very passionate about what he does and you can tell with each item on the menu. We were so impressed by the kick that the risotto had we had to ask about it and when we found out that the lobster stock takes 4 hrs we knew that this place goes the extra mile. We highly recommend Farfalla!

Looked like a nice, intimate setting that we were excited to try with my Birthday gift card that I was given from the nice folks at Tru Blu at the Forum. We were put off immediately by the dark headed girl working last Saturday night 2/7 who seemed to cop a total attitude as soon as we walked in. It was obvious she didn’t want to greet us much less wait on us, so we left the table where the bartender, Ryan told us to sit and moved over to the bar to let him wait on us ( and just had cocktails instead). Ryan was atleast friendly, so we really appreciated that.

this place is an old house right on one of the busiest streets in town. The music barely drowned out the traffic noise until a truck came by. Chicken parm was burnt black on one edge and was not tender at all. Plate was so hot you couldn’t touch it, but the pasta was cool. The sauce (gravy) was bland. The place had a crowd of young folks on the patio with the traffic noise. More power to them. I won’t go back. $125 for mediocre food and 4 glasses of mediocre wine before tip for two in a loud traffic atmosphere. My wife liked her shrimp risoto. We tried very hard to enjoy it. This review is for Farfalla. Food overpriced, atmoshphere 2 star, unless you’re 20 yrs old and want to sit on a patio with continuous cars, trucks, and motorcycles going by.

Wonderful dinner. It was a quiet night when we dined but the food was spot on. I enjoyed the roast chicken that was accompanied by a bean stew that was rich in flavor. Finished the dinner with two desserts that you should not miss- tortas and olive oil cake. One suggestion would be to have a sign outside to draw attention to where the restaurant is as you might dry past it without knowing but if you do, put the brakes on, do a u-turn and enjoy a great meal.
