Ayden was our bartender! He was amazing giving us drinks to pair with our tacos and loaded fries from Pegaso! His energy was everything and he made us feel very welcomed .

A friend and I went specifically for Taco Pegaso in the food court. Everything we got was awesome and I would love to go back. One of the guys there was super cool and brought out our food trays to our table nearby instead of shouting our name to pick it up. Later he was going out of his way to find some girls makeup brush that was left at his counter. Haha. Not ours but really sweet he tried asking around.

If you’re going out with a group and can’t decide on one type of food, this place is the answer. There are so many options—tacos, sandwiches, dumplings, salads, smoothies—you name it. I love this style of dining because everyone gets exactly what they’re craving. It takes the pressure off picking one restaurant and keeps everyone happy. The variety makes it fun, and you can even try a few different things if you’re feeling adventurous. It’s perfect for casual hangouts with friends where you just want to eat, chat, and enjoy the vibe. There’s something really nice about having so many choices in one spot. It’s easy, relaxed, and makes group outings way more enjoyable.

If you’re looking for a variety of fresh food in downtown Austin, go to Fareground Austin! All of the food options are quality, fresh, diverse, delicious and priced right. Plenty of space for seating with small groups of friends and they have an outside lawn with more seating. The service is great and consistent throughout all the food booths and bars. They also have live music on the weekends with great local bands. Cleanliness throughout the whole space.

Overall neat little spot with a good variety of selections for food and drink. In the bottom floor of the high rise building with multiple places to eat including tacos, sushi, Venezuelan, bowls, shwarma and a couple of bars as well as coffee. There’s a nice little outdoor area that’s nicely shaded as well. The food was great the atmosphere is nice as well.

I have been there to eat as well as for a cooking class. Both experiences were great. The food is delicious and the space is clean and nice. There is plenty of seating and everything is stocked. The cooking class was really fun and well run.

Ate at Jabs Burgers and Fries. Food was great. Service was the highlight for sure. Jasmine was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a great time. My friends and I come here a lot to study at the large tables and will definitely be coming back.

Fareground Austin is technically a food court, but it doesn’t quite fit the traditional definition. The indoor area is fairly simple, featuring a mix of small, independent eateries and a large, constantly busy bar. The setup feels a bit scattered—there’s no real connection between the different vendors, and the layout lacks the cohesive energy you might expect from a food hall. If you walk deeper inside, you’ll find more restaurant options, but overall, the real attraction isn’t what’s inside—it’s what happens outside.

One of the biggest advantages here is that none of the food stalls are part of large chains. Everything is local, independent, and offers something unique, which makes it worth exploring if you’re looking for something beyond typical fast-casual options. The variety is solid—there’s French cuisine, shawarma, tacos, Venezuelan food, and more. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick bite or a sit-down meal, you can usually find something interesting.

The real highlight of Fareground isn’t indoors, but outside. On select weekends, the courtyard transforms into a lively open-air gathering space with DJs, live music, and a street food festival atmosphere. Some of the indoor restaurants bring their food stands outside, and additional street food vendors set up booths, offering an even wider selection of food, cocktails, and snacks. The entire space comes alive with a fun, social vibe, making it one of the more dynamic food spots in Austin.

If you’re looking for a unique place to eat and drink in a relaxed setting, Fareground delivers. The indoor space might not be the most impressive, but the outdoor events and diverse food options make it a great weekend destination.
