The ambiance could be better. It’s a market and Resturant combined. I would suggest a partition or a way to separate the two spaces. I came during slow time (Sunday early evening) but I could foresee a crowded space, clutter, and possible chaos on a Friday night. I ordered a Tassot (Goat) Fritay platter. Although I was disappointed about there being no Accra despite being told there was some on the phone, they made it right by substituting it for something else which I did not try as of yet as I’m writing this review but it looks and smells good and I’m sure it will be just as good. I have to try them again when there is Accra to determine if this will be my new Haitian Food spot. Service was pretty good actually great for a Haitian Resturant so I hope they keep that up! All in all, for a first time I give them a 8/10. Definitely will be back soon just have to have a bad enough craving for the 30 minute drive. 🙂

After a bit of a letdown earlier in the day trying to find breakfast elsewhere, I stumbled across this Haitian spot—Famm Kreyol Kizine—tucked inside what looks like a small corner grocery store. At first glance, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The entryway is tight, the layout a bit cluttered, and the space could definitely benefit from some organization. It gives off a slightly chaotic feel that might raise questions about hygiene at first glance—even though the seating area itself was quite clean.
There’s very limited seating—just two small tables, enough for 2 to 4 people at most. I noticed a steady stream of takeout orders, which probably explains why the focus hasn’t been on ambiance or dine-in experience.
Still, I took a chance and let the person at the counter decide my meal, only suggesting the protein I wanted. And wow, I was not disappointed. The rice was fresh and full of flavor, and the stew was rich and comforting—something that brought me right back to my South Asian roots. Warm, hearty, and deeply satisfying.
Before leaving, I made sure to thank the ladies in the kitchen for their ninja-level cooking skills. The service was warm, and the food was excellent. I’ve rated the atmosphere a bit lower—not because of the people or the quality—but because with a little more care to layout and presentation, this place could easily level up.

I got some legume from this restaurant, and it was the best I’ve had in a long time. I’ve ordered from there six times so far, and I’ve never been disappointed!

I had my food delivered and was so excited to give this place a try for the first time. Some from the shop called to confirm my order and I thought that was nice. I specifically toward the end of the conversation reminded the person to not forget the pikliz….
Though the food taste good I didn’t get any plantains, sauce and most importantly the pikliz. What would have been a great review just didn’t turn out that way because those little things mean a lot….
