It hurts my soul to be critical as I am so desperate for good Asian cuisine, but it’s still Yulee/Fernandina and this was just average, sorry. For the price, $20 for a poke bowl, maybe below average.

On the positive side, we did appreciate a complementary basic miso soup and roll to start the meal. Restaurant did seem clean.

Poke bowl not much thought into ingredients or presentation. Modest portion of salmon and wasn’t exactly sushi quality, dressing bland…a bit of edamame, a tiny bit of avocado and just a few slivers of seaweed. (No actual seaweed salad…) Corn? No thanks.

Friend ordered Hibachi steak. Was a tough cut of meat and I actually watched my him struggle to chew a couple pieces. He asked to replace with chicken and the server tried to tell him it was tough because well done. No. It was clearly a lesser grade beef chopped into chunks and put on a stick.

It also took them quite a while for food and I had to stare at my poke bowl for almost 10 minutes before the hibachi steak order was delivered to table…and that was before he requested a change!

The website actually has a page about “The Chef”. We only saw a couple young guys and as one who has worked as a chef and seen sushi chefs in action, I don’t believe these were experienced sushi chefs.

Fancy Sushi and Grill is a good spot for Asian cuisine. Their lunch specials are from 11 to 3pm, with good pricing and portions. The Hibachi was good, but I received a small portion of protein, six pieces of steak and two pieces of scallops. Overall the food had good flavor, nothing spectacular, but if definitely hit the spot for Asian cuisine.

Definitely we’re going to come back!

The food is delicious and they serve huge portions, the staff is very friendly, I’ve started to like Asian food, I didn’t used to like it.

I hope they never change.

I can confidently say Fancy Sushi is definitely one of my favorite sushi spots!

The Kani salad is absolutely amazing — fresh, perfectly dressed, and packed with flavor. It’s light yet satisfying and the perfect way to start the meal. Their Rock & Roll sushi rolls are just as impressive — beautifully prepared, incredibly fresh, and bursting with delicious, well-balanced flavors in every bite.

What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Everyone is welcoming, attentive, and genuinely focused on the details that make your dining experience special. I especially love the thoughtful touch of the courtesy holiday roll served as an appetizer — such a kind and generous surprise that makes you feel valued as a guest. Paired with their delicious, comforting soup, it’s the perfect beginning to an already wonderful meal.

Between the outstanding food and the exceptional service, Fancy Sushi consistently delivers an experience that keeps me coming back. Definitely a family fav

The sushi that I had wasn’t bad, and I enjoyed the miso soup, but the fried rice was bland. I’m used to having at least peas, carrots and eggs in my fried rice, but it was just rice! Being that I came more so for the food and not the service, I wouldn’t come back. There has to be better sushi and fried rice somewhere else.

The service here is great! The sushi is really solid, too. I like that they provide a complimentary fried krab appetizer with a soup. My wife and I order a ton every time we go, and they’re fast anyway. The rolls always come out good quality. Tonight, they gave us our sushi in a boat!

So since I moved the family out to Callahan I’ve been looking for a great sushi place and have had absolutely no luck, until this place. The food was amazing and beautiful plating, the service was excellent and the place is super nice inside, and because we spent 100 bucks, we got a 10 dollar gift card for next visit. I will definitely be back.

2 stars because the customer service was grate but after a long day of ubering I was really excited to try this the sushi was not it! The cream cheese in it tasted bad and I got the salmon and fried rice there was no veggies or anything in the rice and for $14 dollars the peice of salmon was smaller then the palm of my hand. I was really disappointed

Andy was an amazing server, explaining menu choices and even brought my wife extra fortune cookies for her birthday.
Food was excellent with such wonderful flavor. Crab lagoons the best I have ever had.
