Friendly welcoming staff, just a very short distance off I77. Reasonably priced. Portions were substantial and food was very tasty. We enjoyed the ribs platter and a pork barbeque sandwich. Restroom was clean but could use a fresh coat of paint.

While staying at Utt’s Campground, we stopped in here a few times! The BBQ was good—one of the best in the area, and I was able to get it celiac friendly/gluten free.
The ice cream was yummy—one of the best chocolate flavors I’ve found in a while, and we’ve been back a few times. They even have pup cups and our pup loved it! The shop has lots of options to browse and it’s not bad to cross over the highway to other shops. Outside seating was pet friendly.

I’ve been wanting to try this place out & it was well worth the wait! It’s convenient off the interstate & right by the Blue Ridge Parkway. I immediately felt at home. I had the pulled pork, greens, potato salad, & ice cream. They told me to try the brisket next time around. What an absolute gem!

Got the brisket sandwich 13$ and a pulled pork sandwich 10$. They were good but even better with the sweet and tangy sauce! The side of coleslaw was real disappointing tho, just small and not great . They have a puzzle that you can help work on and lots of board games for people to play with! No public bathroom they do have a decent parking lot! Lots of seating available

Complete impromptu ice cream run – but boy howdy, I saw the 1/2 chickens coming out of the smoker and you need to get up and try it – samples sauces awesome- the chicken was obviously fall of the bone moist on that platter. The ice cream was excellent in quality and 1 scoop was MORE than enough. Will be a repeat road trip because I gotta try that burn tip platter.

This is by far one of the best hidden gems in lower VA. We drive up from Boonville NC just to get the Brunswick stew and ice cream. They have ice cream flights that are the absolute best way to try multiple flavors. Some of the best BBQ and brisket we’ve ever had. Haven’t tried the wings yet but we will on our next trip. Enjoy local bluegrass while you dine. And don’t forget to check the art gallery. Make sure you try the “This Shit just got serious” and the “Munchie Madness”.

went for the brisket, not bad but wish there was a more Smokey flavor. Sauces and sides were great, ice cream at the end was on point as well. Atmosphere is on point, they have live music every now and then. Overall recommend to check out, trying out the ribs next time

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Fancy Gap Country Store, and it was an experience worth sharing. My family and I stopped by for lunch and ice cream, and we were absolutely delighted. The folks there are incredibly nice and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.

The store is easy to find, and we appreciated the ample parking available. It made our visits convenient and stress-free. We enjoyed our time there so much that we ended up going back several days in a row!

The lunch offerings were delicious, with a variety of options that satisfied our appetites. The ice cream was the perfect treat to top off our meals—creamy, flavorful, and simply delightful.

Overall, the Fancy Gap Country Store provided a wonderful experience with its friendly atmosphere, great food, and convenient location. We look forward to returning on our next trip through the area!

You have to stop in Fancy Gap, just because it’s a great name. The Country Store has yummy ice cream. I’ll try the BBQ next time, they even have brisket on the weekends (until they sell out). Easy on and off from the Parkway, so be sure to stop.
