I’m a huge fan of bagels, so I had high hopes for a new bagel place so close to home and Fancy Bagel did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was SO GOOD! My husband ordered a sausage, egg and cheese on a French toast bagel and a blueberry bagel with cream cheese. Both were outstanding. Nice and soft. I ordered bacon, egg and cheese on a Spinach bagel and a mocha frozen coffee. My sandwich had a lot of bacon and the bagel was soft and chewy. The coffee was great. We will definitely be regulars here!

I’ve been by a few times, and really wanted to like this place more than I do. The food itself is good, but the overall customer experience leaves MUCH to be desired. Example: the first thing you see when you walk in is a stanchion setup that tells you the line starts one place, then has arrows pointing somewhere else.
Looking around, it feels like the inside is midway through renovation, featuring white paint and a huge plastic sign (also white) screwed into the back wall. At least they kept the lovely stonework from the Italian restaurant that used to be there.
The staff are nice enough, but not overly helpful, and have a tendency to disappear into the kitchen for prolonged stretches of time. Which doesn’t sound so bad, until you look around and realize there are no visible employees to be found when you have a question, or want to add to your order. When you do see staff, they tend to actively avoid eye contact if they’re not ringing you out or handing you your food.
Like I said, the food is pretty good. Just don’t go in with any sort of time constraint (even if you ordered ahead on the website), and don’t expect to leave with that warm, fuzzy, “I enjoyed my time here” feeling.

Went to Fancy Bagels of Southwick for the first time today! The place was packed, but the service was fast and efficient and the food delicious! My sister and I got an everything bagel with egg & cheese and I added bacon, yum, so good!!! And we both had a frozen mocha coffee!! ✔️❤️
Everything was wonderful, and the people were so kind, and went out of their way to make it a great visit!! Bought a couple bagels to bring home too!! Looking forward to our next visit! ❤️

My first time going there. Got an order to go cause it was packed with people (for first timers, go on a week day). The bagels were fresh, the cream cheeses tasty and the muffins incredible. Great staff and lots of variety.

Fancy Bagels is a brand new bagel shop in Southwick offering pretty good food. We went in at 11 for lunch and walked in to a very busy shop. It took us a bit to order, but we soon sat down and waited for our food. The wait was long for 4 bagels, and about 15 minutes in they told us they had run out of one of our orders (Cinnamon Raisin Bagel). However, when we got our food, most of the bagels were very tasty. We got two plain bagels, an Asiago bagel, and a French toast bagel. The Asiago bagel had a good crisp and a savory flavor, and the French toast bagel was caramelized and sweet. Unfortunately, the plain bagel that replaced the cinnamon raisin bagel was untoasted and had bits of onion. Despite this, the other plain bagel was delicious. Overall, Fancy Bagels is a great place that we’re sure to go back to, especially as this is their first few weeks opening! Check it out if you’re nearby.
Update: We went again a couple months after their opening, and it seems that the shop is still extremely busy. The employees seem overwhelmed, and the atmosphere is a bit chaotic. The bagels are, as expected, pretty good, I got the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel which had great flavors. Hopefully they are able to keep up with the demand, since their bagels are definitely worth trying out!

We want to give a big shoutout to the new Fancy Bagels Southwick that just opened – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ quality food! The bagels are so fresh! It hits the spot, and totally worth the wait. Like it’s two other locations, there may be a line out the door when you arrive. From plain bagels, double cheddar everything bagel to a French toast bagel, there’s plenty to choose from.
If you’ve ever been to the two other franchise’s around Southington or Farmington, they bring the same great taste to this new franchise in Southwick.
