The food was phenomenal.

The service was by painful. I have Grace over new waitresses, but not stupidity.

The nose-pierced waitress poured me this as a whole purchase of orange juice. I asked her why, she said “sometimes the juice pours weirdly” …

I forgave the wrong order, the forgetfulness, but not stupidity. Come on, rectify the situation and your service.

Next time I’ll pay 60% of the purchase too.

The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the food was actually decent, otherwise, this would’ve been a one-star disaster. We waited over half an hour just to be seated, then another 30 minutes for coffee, and yet another half hour for food. We got there at 8:30 a.m. and didn’t eat until almost 10! If you’re planning a lazy brunch with nothing else on your schedule, fine. But if you just want a quick breakfast and to get on with your day, forget it. The staff were pleasant, but the service was an absolute mess: disorganized, painfully slow, and clearly not ready for a morning crowd.

According to my wife…the best Avocado Toast she’s ever had. I loved the Apple Cinnamon Flapjacks, Eggs, & thick-cut Bacon.

Next visit…loved the Bacon, Egg, & Cheese on Sourdough. Potatoes were great too.

Service was great and the restaurant is super nice.

We had breakfast twice at Famous Toastery while on vacation in Blowing Rock last week. The food, service, and atmosphere were all terrific. Friendly and attentive staff. I had the breakfast sandwich one day, and the Toastery Bowl the other. Both were excellent. The sourdough bread on the sandwich was especially good. The bowl was great as well, and the portions were quite big. The freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee were excellent as well.

We stopped in to eat Breakfast. We had a little wait, to be expected during holiday period. They have a great assortment of food options, breakfast(flapjacks, omelets), sandwiches, Mac & Cheese, wraps and more. The stuff is super friendly. My husband ordered flapjacks, which came with eggs, bacon and warm syrup. I got the Mac & Cheese(yes for breakfast). It was delicious. We will be going back again to try it all. It is a must try for sure.

Sometimes a place looks like it should be great, but just feels like it’s being let go. Handmade signage falling off the walls; dirty, slippery floor, dishes not as clean as they should be. The food was just ok. My over medium eggs showed up so runny I almost sent them back just on principle. But it had taken so long for the food to arrive and I was so hungry that I ate them. My wife ordered the french toast and it was cooked perfectly, but it tasted like soap. She thinks it was too much cardamom in the spice mix they used. They have a great menu, but management needs to clean up their act. Literally. All these issues could be fixed overnight.

We were there around 1pm on a Sunday afternoon. They were busy, but not slammed. Many empty tables. No wait. Seemed to be plenty of staff.

One of the staff – I think it was the bar back – was talking so loudly with the other staff that it dominated the whole place. She was acting like the place was closed and there were no customers there. And then the poor girl fell and splashed hot coffee all over herself… One of the customers had dropped their drink and when it got cleaned up the floor was left soaking wet. This girl was refilling coffees and slipped in it, fell down pretty hard, and in the process splashed hot coffee all across her shoulders. Hopefully management takes care of her – if necessary.

Great little gem up in blowing rock. From fresh squeezed orange juice, egg Benedict to shrimp and grits. A little bit of everything for everyone, prices are great but the best of it all is the service, you feel as if you are at home with family.

The service was great. The food was ok. I was a bit surprised by the lack of flavor and the order came out incorrect. It was fixed but still it wasn’t the same.
