From the team behind Rosenberg’s Bagels and Delicatessen, Famous Original J’s Pizza is an authentic, NYC-style slice shop in Denver’s historic Five Points neighborhood. The tiny pizza shop resides on the patio of the 715 Club with a walk-up window on the corner of Welton St. and 26th Ave. Famous J’s offers Brooklyn-style pizza by the slice as well as full pies. Open late.
East Coast–style pies served from windows, plus seating (& drinks) on the patio of a nightclub.

This is just a walk up storefront. The adjacent bar wraps around it with their patio, there is seating at the patio, and you can order from there, but for non-bar-patrons you order from the sidewalk.
This is NYC-style thin crust pizza. The pizza oven is dialed-in, so that the crust is super crispy without being burnt (in my 2 experiences). The cheese slices are good, and I’ll get them again after shows at Cervantes, but neither the sauce nor the cheese are as good as the crispy crust.

Urban setting for sure. Ordered at the window..outdoor seating, but took it to go. The pizza was outstanding and service was friendly. If the area again, I’ll be back! Had a slice while I waited for my whole pie and was fantastic!

Good pizza at this restaurant in the heart of Five Points area in Denver. The pizza passer is actually a part of the 517 Bar/Lounge. You can buy pizza by the slice or get a whole 18-inch pizza. The crust is very thin, so you shouldn’t expect any deep-dish action here, but for people who like them thin, you might be in to a good thing. Menu also has other bits like a mixed salad and garlic knots. Seats and tables (benches, actually) are all outside facing the Five Points intersection, and it’s all self-serve seating. Overall, not a bad place for pizza.

Having spent a decade in New York City, this place is a little taste of home! we appreciate that they put their unique spin on the classic NY style slice (and the wink of the name of the spot). It’s got that great chewiness and a crisp crust, and the flavors here are fresher than you’d expect.
Everything we’ve had here has been delicious but the biggest pleasant surprise here is their white pie. It’s probably the best we’ve had anywhere, period.
The location is phenomenal, with a patio overlooking the literal five points of the neighborhood’s namesake. They’ve got some fun cross-promotions with the bar next door, too, in case you need something to wash your pizza down with! This is a perfect place to begin or end a weekend night with friends.

We ordered Famous Original J’s Pizza as a late night pizza delivery through Door Dash. The pizza was humongous and delicious! Definitely bang for the buck. Not sure of the actual pizza size, bit $25 for a godzilla sized pizza is a dream! Keep rockin J!

This place is serving up some awesome pizza. I love the light and crispy crust. Seems like people all have their type of pizza and this is on of my favorites in Denver. The garlic knots were awesome too. Good sauce will come back again.

Ordered from a window that was cracked 1/4 of the way open, the girl didn’t speak English and didn’t know what I was saying when I ordered the tiramisu cup, my cheese and peppers came in dime bags. Overall 10/10 experience, will be back again very soon.
