I ordered through door dash because I felt like eating bbq but my GOD. This had to be the worst bbq I have ever eaten. I normally dont post reviews but this was so bad I lwgit had too. I ordered the 3 meat plate with brisket, pulled pork and wings. Not only was it cold, the brisket was some of the worst I’ve ever tried. The pulled pork was dry only eatable thanks to the bbq sauce and the wings were okay. Potato salad was also okay and the Mac was horrendous…It didnt even come with the corn bread as advertised. Literally I hope they do better because I dont know how theyre still open.

Brisket was inedible. Probably easier to chew through leather. Don’t know how any self respecting cook would allow this to leave the kitchen.

This is a temporary location for Famous Dave’s BBQ. It is located inside Jonny Carino’s Italian Grill. There in no sign outside letting customers know Famous Dave’s is inside. They don’t even provide the information in the confirmation email. My family has had Famous Dave’s in Nashville, TN. However, this food was no where new Dave’s. We ordered the Family feast. You are not able to make substitutions. The tray and carry bag was great. You need to ask for BBQ sauce they do not include it in the bag. The ribs were good, but not fall off the bone. The chicken is only dark meat. It was well seasoned. The brisket was over cooked and tough. Corn was good, but you should not be able to mess up corn. The beans were fine, but I add BBQ sauce to give it more favors. The corn beard was great. The wedge fries were not cooked enough and were over salted. We put them in the air fryer to Crisp them up. The coleslaw also came with the side. It was fine for the family. The only side we paid extra for was the Mac and cheese. It was not very cheesy, and not sure why they put corn in it too. Plus re-heating food for the next day was not any better. The brisket was even tougher. Overall, this is not a good representation of Famous Dave’s from the East coast. I would not recommend.

I ordered ribs through Uber Eats. I expected a lot due to the fact that the phrase “award winning” was thrown around a lot.
These were the worst ribs I’ve ever had. Rough, hard to chew and UNDERCOOKED! Maybe Dave himself makes some bomb ribs but these were completely inedible.

I used to like Famous Dave’s BBQ. The ribs without BBQ sauce was really good. I don’t know what happened but now the are uneatable. I’ve never had ribs so bad.

OMG! Famous Dave’s is awesome! My husband and I travel a lot on business. We always try BBQ in each city. The last trip in Memphis, TN was trash and should NEVER be called BBQ! But this food from Famous Dave’s was the first restaurant since the last BBQ mishap. Although we were nervous, You guys did an amazing job! Everything is perfect! I don’t eat baked beans. But I ate yours! The ribs fall off the bone. Brisket is tender and the chopped pork melts in your mouth! I taste & smell the smoke! The rub is making our mouths explode with flavor! We will definitely return!

I used to get famous daves all the time when i lived in Minneapolis and it was awesome! This is not THAT. Not even close. But to be fair the last time i was in MSP like 6 years ago….it was also terrible so i’m guessing this chain has dropped across the board in quality. If you are from the midwest and have fond memories of famous daves, do yourself a favor and keep the memories and go eat at Rudy’s or something instead. BBQ of this quality should be illegal in TX

Im from Wisconsin and was excited to see a Famous Daves so I was very excited to see it here in Austin. Must be new because I know I googled when I first moved here and there wasn’t such a place. ANYWAY this was horrible. Mac n Cheese Salty and Runny EW! Traditional wings. barely any sauce and cold. Put back in air fryer.. EW! Brisket tough and salty, EW! The only thing edible was The fries and cornbread muffin. I ordered an extra one and didnt get it! Where is the rib tips? Sorry wont ever order again. I’ll wait until I visit home!

This may very well be the WORST barbecue in Texas! Brisket was awful, potato salad was inedible, corn muffins were super sweet, coleslaw was watery, and the chicken was super dry. The ribs were passable, but that’s about it. After 15 minutes of driving around and around the evil maze that is Southpark Meadows, I realized the map dot was in the middle of a furniture store, and re-searched the map for Johnny Carino’s, which finally led me to the dang location. I shared this frustration with the cashier, who casually replied, “That happens to folks a lot, yup” and shrugged. NEVER AGAIN, Famous Dave’s!

The food overall was good. The ribs were delicious, as well as the chicken. The only reason my rating wasn’t higher was because of the brisket. It was overcooked and just was underwhelming. The cornbread is addictive!
