Went to the soft opening of the new location. The staff are still in training but doing amazing! Our server was amazing Jes. She was friendly and knowledgeable about about the menu. The food was spectacular. There was only two of us but we each ordered something different so we could try a few things. Our favorite was the pork, amazing is no joke. Second was the chicken, all the chicken, even the wings. Last was the brisket. It was a little chewy which may mean one of a couple things BUT the flavor was excellent. The cornbread muffins, outstanding! The sides were fabulous, we had baked beans, garlic mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli and mac & cheese. We truly enjoyed our visit and will be back.

The food was excellent. I ordered the Texas Beef Brisket Sandwich, and it was truly delicious. Since the restaurant is still new, some delays in service are understandable. However, the staff is courteous and clearly working hard. With time and experience, I’m confident they’ll continue to improve. I’ll definitely come back.

Came here with my husband and daughter for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We came in and were warmly greeted and seated right away with menus. Our waiter Jose came provided excellent service. Our drinks were refilled promptly and the food was fresh, delicious, and economical. We ordered from thr lunch menu which is available from open till 4 pm. The portions were large and we even had left overs. It is a must try

I had great experience . My waiter Fernado is so kind, has sweet personality. He came by check see if you need anything, how was my food. Food ribs yummy. He a great waiter. Next time I will ask for him. I didnt have wait long for a table. Right away he asked, me , what I like to drink. My salad was very good, love there corn bread.

My husband and I are first time patrons to Famous Dave’s Downey. Our server Jayden was great. She provided me with recommendations and was attentive despite how busy it got in the restaurant. After my husband made a mistake with what he ordered, she was open and understanding and quick to resolve the order. The food was very tasty and affordable. I had an excellent experience at Famous Dave’s thanks to Anahi. From the moment we sat down, she was incredibly welcoming, patient, and attentive. She checked in at the perfect times, made great recommendations, and made sure everything tasted right and came out quickly.
What stood out most was her positive attitude and how genuinely she treated us — not just as customers, but like guests she cared about. You can tell she takes pride in her work and wants people to enjoy their meal.

My wife and I went to this restaurant tonight and it was a great experience. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but it was worth the wait. The food was delicious — everything was fresh and flavorful. Our server, Anahi was very attentive and friendly, which made the meal even more enjoyable. She apologized for the wait and gave us complimentary corn bread while we waited, which we both appreciated. We’ll definitely be coming back!”
